Kamala Harris losing ANOTHER high level aide: Bye, girl!

While Vice President Kamala Harris’ office denies reports of alleged internal frustrations, the imminent loss of another top aide seems to tell another story.

The vice president will be losing another high-level staffer as Symone Sanders, a senior adviser and the chief spokesperson for Harris, will exit at the end of the month, reported Politico which cited several administration officials. Sanders had served as a senior adviser to the Biden campaign during the 2020 election.

The news comes on the heels of an announcement from the vice president’s communications director, Ashley Etienne, who said last month that she will also be leaving in a few weeks.

“I’m so grateful to the VP for her vote of confidence from the very beginning and the opportunity to see what can be unburdened by what has been,” Sanders told staff in a note Wednesday, according to Politico. “I’m grateful for [Harris chief of staff] Tina [Flournoy] and her leadership and her confidence as well. Every day, I arrived to the White House complex knowing our work made a tangible difference for Americans. I am immensely grateful and will miss working for her and with all of you.”

In a separate message, Harris chief of staff Tina Flournoy sent a note to the vice president’s team saying, “Symone told the VP a couple months ago that she’d be leaving us at the end of the year. I’ve often said about her that no job is too big or too small for Symone.”

Questions were sparked over the news of Sanders’ coming departure as there has reportedly been no indication of what her future plans will be. Politico cited an official in Harris’ office who confirmed the report about Sanders and said Harris and President Joe Biden have “known for a while.”

With recent reports about tensions growing between the president and vice president’s teams, amid cratering approval ratings for both, and the low prospects of a Biden 2024 campaign – as well as the potential of Harris to even succeed him – the news of Sanders’ departure fueled more questions about the disarray in the White House.

Social media reacted with comments about any additional departures and to the latest about Sanders.
