When Democrats’ political theatrics aimed at derailing the Supreme Court Justice nomination of Brett Kavanaugh didn’t work in 2018, they decided to try again in 2021, claiming that the FBI failed to investigate 4,500 tips on the Justice– a point that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is trying to use to dismantle Kavanaugh’s credibility in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health.
Ocasio-Cortez tweeted Wednesday that Kavanaugh should recuse himself from the abortion case because he remains “credibly accused” of numerous instances of sexual assault.
“Reminder that Brett Kavanaugh *still* remains credibly accused of sexual assault on multiple accounts w/ corroborated details & this year the FBI admitted it never fully investigated. Yet the court is letting him decide on whether to legalize forced birth in the US. No recusal,” the congresswoman wrote.

The myriad of problems with AOC’s argument begins with one simple fact: Kavanaugh was effectively cleared of the sexual assault charges against him during a thorough confirmation process.
The fact that none of the charges against him could be credibly corroborated also must be accounted for.
While there aren’t any details on the 4,500 so-called “tips” gathered by the FBI, the likelihood that they were left by women angry over the possibility of Roe being overturned cannot be dismissed.
Ocasio-Cortez, however, is not the only delusional Democrat hoping to make hay of these “tips.” In March of this year, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate what he called the “fake” vetting of Kavanaugh.
Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse is calling on A.G. Merrick Garland to help facilitate “proper oversight” by the Senate into questions about how thoroughly the FBI investigated Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing, suggesting his vetting was “fake.” https://t.co/E2yB0iNeui

Twitter users took time to hit back at the congresswoman’s ridiculous assertions, calling them nothing more than a smear campaign.
“There were 0 credible allegations, zero corroboration & FBI review of most prominent uncorroborated claim found Kavanaugh opponents pressured alleged witness to change her story to hurt Kavanaugh. That accuser’s lawyer later admitted abortion politics influenced their decisions,” Fox News contributor Guy Benson wrote.
I attended Kavanaugh’s hearing when he was being confirmed.
The paid organized leftist groups had women outside and were cycling them through to sit in.
They would plan their fits and screams to make it look like a real outrage.
It was all fake, just like his accusers. https://t.co/4UCgJq5Ums

Reminder that smear-artists and fanatics will now be embarking a months-long campaign to try to bully the Court into upholding a constitutional travesty that imposes one of the world’s most radical abortion regimes on the United States https://t.co/jZElBV4GyL

I called this tweet ridiculous earlier, but on further reflection, it’s much worse than that. Kavanaugh’s detractors have now had THREE YEARS to substantiate these “credible” allegations, and what do we have? Nothing new. This is garbage, a desperate, flailing smear. https://t.co/LOksyYjSzo

Reminder that after years of intense media scrutiny no single independent witness or piece of evidence exists to corroborate the fact Kavanaugh and Blasey-Ford *ever even met.* And the other accusations are more tenuous. https://t.co/cenIprPmTT

If not being allowed to kill your unborn baby is “forced birth,” then isn’t not being allowed to kill your three year old “forced parenthood”? Explain the logical distinction. https://t.co/Xyuo7QAhMj

Has any of his accuser gone to local police station and filed a complaint yet?(which they can still do)
— Michael Pittman (@Michael8Pittman) December 2, 2021
No way to know how “credible”. Painting a broad brush from what the testimony was.
“Forced birth” is also a stretch. For the 1st 4 months of pregnancy the woman could still get an abortion. It wouldn’t outlaw abortion. Restrict it yes but “forced birth” isn’t correct.

Reminder that Brett Kavanaugh was never credibly accused of sexual assault on any occasion. Blasey-Ford never met Kavanaugh. Ever. EVERY “witness” refuted her story.
AOC doesn’t understand recusal. It’s not for difference of legal opinion. Also abortion will still be legal.

Even Tara Reade– the woman whose accusations against President Biden of sexual assault were buried by the mainstream media– chimed in:
Agreed @AOC. Remember that Biden *still*remains credibly accused of sexual assault (by me) & sexual harassment on multiple accounts (8) w/corroborated details and he was never investigated yet he is POTUS.Thank you for believing all survivors regardless of political affiliation https://t.co/Jmfng23jPU

Ocasio-Cortez continued her lies and conspiracy peddling in a follow-up tweet:
Out of 9 justices, 3 were appointed by a man who tried to overthrow the US government (& elected via minority).
Those 3 will decide whether the US will legalize forcing people to give birth against their will.
Legitimacy requires consent of the governed. They are dismantling it
