U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said on Monday that if Republicans gain back control of the U.S. House of Representatives, they will “for sure” exercise their power of subpoena and investigate Hunter Biden and his ties to communist China.

Jordan appeared on “Fox News Primetime” along with conservative radio host Buck Sexton in a discussion on the matter with host Pete Hegseth, who observed that it was not that long ago when Democrats were obsessed with the rule of law, declaring time and again that no one is “above the law,” not even the U.S. president.

More revelations from Hunter’s laptop continue to surface, Hegseth said, but in normal fashion, mainstream media continue to ignore it.

He asked Buck Sexton, “How do they get away, Buck, with that mindset? When you are working with a Chinese company that you know is an extension of the Chinese Communist Party; you looking to supplant and surpass the United States and you’re helping them do so?”

Sexton replied, “Theoretically, Pete, we are supposed to have people called journalists in America, and they are the guardians of our republic allegedly, by providing the public with necessary information. When it comes to Democrats selling influence, peddling access to office and just straight-up corruption, there is so much less interest all of a sudden.”

“The Clintons created a global grift scheme through what was supposed to be a charity and got away with it, to the tune of – hundreds of millions of dollars,” he continued. “Hunter Biden selling paintings for 50 to $500,000 a pop? Having meetings with senior Chinese Communist Party officials and promising access to the top policymakers in this country? That’s just the price of doing business for Democrats, I guess. They don’t care. If any of the Trump kids did this, Pete, you know CNN and MSNBC would cover it like the bombing of Pearl Harbor. That’s not happening.”

Rep. Jordan agreed, saying “Buck is exactly right, Pete. Remember what we knew 13 months ago before the presidential election. We had an eyewitness Tony Bobulinski; we had actual physical evidence; we had the emails and the laptop and we knew that the FBI had them under investigation. But 50 people from the intelligence community told us all it was Russian disinformation. What a joke that was. We needed some real journalism about 13 months ago.”

Sexton, who previously worked in the CIA, said Hunter Biden’s nefariousness might be considered compromise as it relates to a foreign adversary, but that he didn’t see the president’s son running for elected office anytime soon. He added it does raise concern in terms of who is actually running the country, given President Biden’s visibly declining mental faculties and his son’s proclivity for immoral behavior and avarice.

Noting his ties to communist China, Sexton wondered “Who else has Hunter been talking to?”
