Bill Maher lays it out for Cuomo: If Don Jr. behaved like Hunter it would be all over MSNBC

Left-leaning comedian Bill Maher dropped a stunning red pill this Wednesday on CNN, telling notoriously left-wing host Chris Cuomo to his face that had former President Donald Trump’s son done what President Joe Biden’s son has, the mainstream press would have covered his activities ad nauseam.

“If Don, Jr. had done what Hunter Biden had done, it would be every night, all night, on MSNBC. But the fact that it’s Hunter Biden, and Joe’s on the blue team — see, that’s the problem with America. Everything is so binary. Everything that the red team doesn’t like goes in the blue bin, and vice versa,” he said.

“So every Democratic politician has to wear on his sleeve every silly, stupid woke thing that the fringe-left does. And the red team has to wear ‘kids in cages’ and ‘lock her up,’ and all that kind of stuff,” Maher added.

To be clear, the “blue team” also has to wear “kids in cages,” especially since they’re the ones who started it.

This mistake aside, his remark drew some praise and also some criticism from conservatives who’ve long maintained that there’s a blatant double standard at play in regard to media coverage.

Conversely, the comedian’s remark provoked pure anger from left-wingers who, thanks to the media either covering up or downplaying Hunter Biden’s behavior, were left aghast at his otherwise demonstrably correct observation.

Many even asked, “What did Hunter do?”

Look (*Language warning):

Though they write they want “factual answers,” it seems unlikely that they’re genuinely interested in the facts surrounding Hunter Biden.

One of these facts concerns his sudden newfound “career” as an artist selling otherwise amateurish pieces for far more than they’re worth.

Making matters worse, the White House has coordinated with Hunter Biden’s team to hide the identities of those who purchase his grossly overpriced work.

Even Obama-era ethics chief Walter Shaub has complained about this.

“There is no ethics program in the world that can be built around the head of state’s staff working with a dealer to keep the public in the dark about the identities of individuals who pay vast sums to the leader’s family member for subjectively priced items of no intrinsic value,” he tweeted last month in a thread that since’s been deleted.

“If this were Trump, Xi or Putin, you’d have no doubt whatsoever that this creates a vehicle for funneling cash to the first family in exchange for access or favors. Nor would you doubt that the appearance of monetizing the presidency was outrageous,” he added.

He likely deleted the thread because of backlash from the same sorts of leftists who’re now angry at Maher for the red pill he dropped Wednesday.

Hunter Biden also has a history of consuming drugs, hiring prostitutes, carrying around illegally obtained weapons and hobnobbing with very shady people.

Most notably, despite a clear lack of any meaningful experience, he was repeatedly hired or contracted by powerful firms that just happened to be lobbying his father, then the vice president, about one policy or another.

Meanwhile, here’s a headline from the Trump era: “‘Stay Away from Donnie Trump’: Inside Don Jr.’s Drinking, Womanizing and Frat Guy Antics.”

And then of course there were the hundreds of since-debunked headlines accusing Trump Jr. of this or that crime.

Neither he nor Hunter has been convicted of any crime. Yet because of the coverage from the mainstream press, a stunning number of left-wingers believe Trump Jr. is the devil incarnate and Hunter Biden is the most innocent man in America.
