Former President Donald Trump unleashed on Fox News in a statement released Sunday for allowing “horrible and untruthful anti-Trump commercials to be run.”
“What good is it if FOX News speaks well of me when they continually allow horrible and untruthful anti-Trump commercials to be run—and plenty of them,” Trump said in the release. “In the good old days, that would never have happened and today it happens all of the time.”
In what sounds like a further affirmation that a 2024 presidential run may be in the making, the former president said “we will win anyway” while noting that Fox News’ competition would never air a pro-Trump ad.
“Ratings-challenged CNN and MSNBC would never run a positive Trump ad — never,” he said. “With so many forces against us, Big Tech, the Fake News Media, the Radical Left, the RINOs, and more, we are at such a disadvantage, but we will win anyway!”
PAC group MeidasTouch claimed in a tweet late Sunday that it was one of their ads that upset Trump, declaring “we just broke Trump.”
“We didn’t think we could break him any more than we already had,” the tweet read. “But we did. After we put our ad on the air at Mar-A-Lago that is humiliating him for not coming to Virginia. He wants to come so badly.”

If America has learned anything from those deranged in their quest to attack Trump it is that truth was the first casualty in this war of words.
MeidasTouch is a “progressive, next-generation” super PAC founded by three brothers who are lifelong Democrats, in the quest to help defeat Trump in the 2020 presidential election. The group released an ad recently in response to Glenn Youngkin, the Republican gubernatorial candidate in Virginia, going it alone thus far on the campaign trail. The former president endorsed Youngkin in the race, though NBC News reported recently that “he has allowed Youngkin, a former private equity executive and political newcomer, to keep some distance from him.”
“Why are you scared to go to Virginia?” a female narrator asks in the 30-second video. “Is it because Glenn Youngkin wants nothing to do with you? Or is it because your loser stench rubs off on everyone you touch?”

“We are not done humiliating Trump and defeating him and his GQP puppets,” the group said in another tweet, appealing for donations — a link to Act Blue was included.
According to media reports, the spot began airing Thursday on Fox News as part of a five-figure weeklong media buy. The petty, juvenile ad sounds like it was written by a smart-aleck middle schooler — or premier grifter Rick Wilson, who shares a similar mindset.
Wilson, desperate for attention now that CNN and MSNBC no longer need his services as an alleged Republican attacking Trump, was eager to enter the fray on Sunday.
The group he co-founded, the Lincoln Project, has fallen out of favor somewhat after it was learned one of the principal players, John Weaver, had an alleged affinity for underage boys. It seems the other grifters in the group were only too happy to live with this dirty little secret to keep the money spigot flowing in the run-up to the November election.
Wilson told Mediaite that he was not sure if the ad was from his group, but said they did have a current buy. He also said the PAC specifically targets Trump with local cable ad buys, which is consistent with a petty, longstanding tactic of poking Trump in the hopes that he will mention them.
“We’re always running ads on Fox News in Bedminster and Mar-a-Lago area cable, because it’s a central part of our ‘audience of one’ strategy and as you can see, it’s highly effective. Now, I don’t know if he’s talking about one of our ads — other people have followed us into this strategy — but we’re the OGs of it,” he said.
