‘Pissed’ Maxine Waters pushes rhetoric limit, claims untrue Haitian whippings ‘worse’ than slavery

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) railed against the alleged mistreatment of thousands of Haitian migrants on the southern border, hysterically and falsely asserting that the treatment by the Border Patrol was “worse than what we witnessed in slavery.”

“I’m pissed,” angrily declared Waters. “I’m unhappy and I’m not just unhappy with the cowboys who were running down Haitians and using their reins to whip them. I’m [unhappy] with the administration. We are following the Trump policy … he is the one that does not follow the Constitution and would not allow those seeking refuge to petition to get into the country. What the hell are we doing here?

“What we witnessed takes us back hundreds of years,” she raged. “What we witnessed was worse than what we witnessed in slavery … cowboys with their reins, again, whipping black people.”

Waters heatedly spoke at a press conference outside the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday. The briefing was held to address photos that showed Border Patrol agents attempting to control Haitian illegal immigrants flooding across the Rio Grande in Texas. The agents were accused by Democrats of whipping the migrants despite the fact they had no whips and only had reins in their hands.

The California representative also demanded, “We’re saying to the President and to everybody else, you’ve got to stop this madness. And I want to know, in the first place, who’s paying these cowboys to do this work? They have got to be gotten rid of. They’ve got to be stopped. It cannot go on.”

“What we witnessed takes us back hundreds of years… What we witnessed was worse than what we witnessed in slavery,” she insanely claimed.

Waters also insisted that children who are “unfortunate to be in this situation must be allowed into the United States immediately.”

National Border Patrol Council Vice President Art Del Cueto hit back over the claims against the agents. In an interview with Fox News, he stated that the agents are not assigned whips and the techniques used utilized safety protocols to protect both the agent and the horse that was involved in the incident.

“They were not whipping anyone,” asserted Del Cueto. “They don’t carry whips. They don’t get assigned whips. What they do is a training technique that has been shown to them to make sure that no one takes over their horse. It was to protect the horse, to protect the rider, and to protect the individual that was trying to cause chaos and knock down that rider from that horse.”

That didn’t satisfy leftists Democrats who were calling for blood after what they claimed was horrific abuse.

Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH) chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, also spoke during the event, saying the actions taken toward Haitian migrants in Del Rio were “some of the most horrific things that we’ve seen, some of the most emotional, deplorable, unthinkable.”

“Today, I had the honor of taking eight members of the Congressional Black Caucus and leadership directly to the White House,” Beatty stated. “And part of that was to speak to those deplorable photos and ask why that all those recognized riding horses using their reins to chase down Haitians like they were cattle and goats to be suspended, terminated.”

The Department of Homeland Security has reportedly assigned four of the border agents to desk duty while an investigation is being conducted according to Forbes.

Beatty also noted that Democrats are demanding that Border Patrol agents no longer use horses when patrolling the border.

“We have never witnessed people who looked like me to be treated the way those Haitians were,” she disingenuously claimed.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), who was also at the press conference, questioned the “cruel, the inhumane, and flat out racist treatment” of Haitian migrants at the southern border.

“We cannot and we must not look away in this moment,” Pressley declared.

“Instead of leading with compassion and grace, these families have been met with cruelty,” she remarked and then claimed that those that have fled to America have been “rounded up like cattle, whipped, handcuffed, and detained.”

“Haitian lives are black lives, and if we truly believe that black lives matter, then we must reverse course,” Pressley demanded, calling on Biden to “immediately and indefinitely halt all deportations of Haitian migrants.”

“Congress must do the work of investigating and ensuring accountability of the egregious and white supremacist behavior of Border Patrol agents in Del Rio Texas,” she flatly stated.

The National Border Patrol Council issued a scathing statement calling the baseless allegations “ignorant and derogatory.” It stated that such a reaction was expected given the Biden administration’s “disdain for law enforcement and underlying desire to defund the police.”

People were quick to nail Waters over her accusations against border agents:
