‘Where is she?’ VP Harris’ absence on border so conspicuous, even MSNBC’s Stephanie Rhule takes note

While some may ask what actual ability Vice President Kamala Harris possesses, other than the level of melanin in her skin, the California Democrat has exhibited an uncanny ability to maintain serious distance from any controversy.

It’s almost like she’s trying to protect herself for the inevitable, that being a coming run for the White House — it’s not like 78-year-old President Joe Biden has much of a chance to be cognitively fit to run for reelection — if not a sooner ascension to the next level.

Just as the nation saw with the Afghanistan debacle the president is desperately trying to move on from, where Harris wanted no part of the incompetence on display from the White House, she’s nowhere to be found as the southern border with Mexico explodes into perhaps the greatest immigration crisis in U.S. history.

Her absence being so conspicuous that even MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle was remarking on it.

“How about the message from our vice president?” Ruhle asked Monday. “Where is she? She was supposed to be in charge of all of these migration issues, going to those Northern Triangle countries that’s obviously not Haiti.”

NBC News correspondent Julia Ainsley responded by essentially saying that there has been a “break down” of what little effort Harris has put in since Biden tapped her to be in charge of the border crisis

“Well, we haven’t heard a lot from the vice president,” Ainsley said, taking note of the vice president’s alleged focus on the Northern Triangle countries to get to the “root of the problem.”

“A lot of the diplomacy, which was what the vice president was focused on, was with Mexico and essentially what we’re seeing now is a break down of that work,” Ainsley reported. “Mexico for a while was stopping a lot of migration coming from Guatemala into Mexico, keeping people from ever even reaching the U.S. border. But now Mexico became so overwhelmed with this particular migrant surge that they were beyond capacity and we were seeing Mexico essentially give up in some cases just allow buses through their country to the U.S. border, which is how so many people got here so quickly.”

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., said Monday night that it’s almost like Harris is in the “witness protection program.”

“By the way, where’s the vice president who is supposed to be in charge of the border response?” he asked, during an appearance on “Hannity” on Fox News. “I think right now, she seems to be in the witness protection program because she’s nowhere to be seen on that. And I can go on — we could spend an hour here talking about the cascade of calamities and disasters that have all been brought about by this administration, their incompetence, and the wrong decisions that they’ve made.”

More than a million illegal immigrants have come across the southern border this year alone, many infected with COVID-19 and being transported by the thousands by the Biden administration to all four corners of the country. In an ever-worsening crisis, over 15,000 migrants set up a tent city under a Texas bridge in 100+ degree heat with no provisions or facilities.

The situation getting so dire that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has asked President Biden to declare a federal emergency, Fox News reported.

“Thousands of families are immobilized in 100-degree heat as their numbers continue to swell as they wait to be processed by the approximately 64 federal agents in the area,” Abbott wrote in the letter. “Individuals are camping in squalid conditions and bathing in muddy river water, causing great health concerns.”

There is great concern the illegal immigrants, mostly Haitians, will grow restless and start rioting over the “squalid conditions,” which could prove to be an unprecedented calamity. All the while, the broken media in this country is obsessed with false claims of migrants being whipped by Border Patrol agents.

Harris did make an appearance over the weekend at a college football game, tasked with the important pregame duty of flipping the coin to determine which team starts off with the ball.

Meanwhile, the Democratic mayor of Del Rio, Texas, which is where the tent city is located, lashed out at both Biden and Harris.

“The VP is able to visit the fun events across the country, while American communities continue to grapple with failed immigration reform,” Mayor Bruno Lozano tweeted.

“Where is the visit to Del Rio, TX?” he asked. “We need you to visit Del Rio, Texas.”

And while she may currently be MIA, social media users noted that Harris is set to appear on “The View” this Friday — the set being very friendly confines for the vice president.
