Declaring FBI has ‘failed’ America, Jesse Watters says time to ‘audit and clean house’

Fox News Host Jesse Watters called for an audit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation during his Saturday night monologue, detailing the decades of corruption within the agency. The suggestion followed the testimony from American gymnasts this week on the FBI cover-up of rampant child sex abuse by USA Gymnastics coach Larry Nassar.

“The [FBI] has been corrupt for decades. J. Edgar Hoover cut deals with the Kennedys, the mob, they spied on politicians, tried to throw elections, we know that. But this week, we heard something even more disgraceful. U.S. gymnasts testifying in front of the Senate, blasting the bureau for covering up the Larry Nassar sex abuse scandal. Remember, Nassar was the USA Gymnastics doctor who sexually abused hundreds of gymnasts? Hundreds. This week, these ladies ripped the FBI for ignoring their reports for months, even years. Then lying to cover it up,” Watters began.

Watters explained that the FBI did not report Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney’s abuse after speaking with her, and when they did file a report 17 months later, it was entirely falsified.

“USA Gymnastics in concert with the FBI and the Olympic committee were working together to conceal that Larry Nassar was a predator,” Maroney testified.

“The Justice Department’s IG report concluded that the FBI botched the entire thing, waiting for over a year to do anything after complaints poured in. While the FBI turned a blind eye, the girls suffered a trauma that’s going to haunt them for the rest of their lives,” Watters said.

Perhaps even more concerning, as the Fox News host points out, is that the FBI admitted to covering up the molestation scandal that affected hundreds of children.

The outcome? One agent was fired. Unsurprisingly, neither Joe Biden nor Kamala Harris had anything to say about the testimony this week.

This is just the tip of the iceberg Watters noted. The FBI also let Jeffrey Epstein walk around abusing children for almost 15 years.

“The billionaire pedophile cut a sweetheart deal with the feds, then raped more teens under everybody’s nose,” Watters detailed, explaining the corruption outlives administrations and critical evidence is buried by bad actors within the agency.

The Fox News host also highlighted the FBI’s efforts to pin the deadly 1996 Atlanta Olympics bombing on the wrong guy, Richard Jewell, ruining an innocent man’s life without any evidence.

When asked if he ever thought he would have a normal life again Jewell responded, “No, the FBI and the press ruined that forever.”

The agents responsible for this grave error received just two weeks without pay.

It doesn’t stop there. The 2016 Pulse nightclub shooter was the son of an FBI informant. The father’s money transfers to Afghanistan and Turkey right before the shooting and multiple complaints filed against the son for being a “terrorist sympathizer” went ignored.

“The FBI has had rotten people in their network for years. One of their own informants was living with two of the 9/11 hijackers,” Watters pointed out.

The Fox News host described several other devastating failures by the FBI including their willful oversight of tips that came in six weeks before the Parkland School massacre in Florida, their failure to investigate the Las Vegas massacre, the deadliest mass shooting in America’s history, their involvement in engineering the kidnapping plot of Michigan’s Governor Whitmer, and their failure to investigate Hunter Biden’s laptop after two years among numerous other examples.

And of course, the absence of explanation by the Bureau who accepted completely false and inaccurate documents from the Hillary Clinton campaign in their efforts to tie Donald Trump to Russia. This of course would lead to four years of bogus investigations, numerous impeachment proceedings, wasted time and taxpayer dollars.

“Watters’ World doesn’t want to hear any more apologies, no more suspensions without pay. We need to audit the FBI, and clean house,” Watters said, demanding the accountability Americans deserve.

“You can’t trust them. It’s failed us, failed innocent women and children. Cost lives and livelihoods and nobody pays a price. It’s the most incompetent and corrupt part of the entire government, and that says a lot.”
