Retired Navy SEAL Jocko Willink explicitly and graphically explained in a video posted to Instagram what he would say and do if he were President Biden in an imagined address to the nation concerning the Afghanistan debacle.
Willink did the video in black-and-white for stark effect. He sounded strong and committed as he spoke in military-style declarative form. He did the entire video as if he were Biden addressing the catastrophe that he had created and then stepped up to take responsibility for it. Something that unfortunately will never happen.
“Good evening. I wanted to give you an update on the current situation in Afghanistan. As you know, we were set to leave Afghanistan this month and as we began the final drawdown, I made some critical errors. Namely, I underestimated the strength of the Taliban and I overestimated the strength and capability of the friendly Afghan forces. This was my fault. And due to my mistake, the Taliban has taken control of Afghanistan,” Willink admitted.
“There are reports now that ISIS and al Qaeda are working alongside them. Unfortunately, there are tens of thousands of Americans on the ground there as well as friends and allies of America on the ground. But these people… Americans and our allies are all stranded. And that is my fault. But they will not be stranded for long,” he declared.

The SEAL went on to lay out the steps he would take to clean up Biden’s mess.
“In the next 48 hours, America will be in control of most major airports in Afghanistan,” he proclaimed. “Any resistance we meet from the Taliban or otherwise—when we seize these airports — will be destroyed completely and without mercy.”
He emphasized that taking control of the airports would allow U.S. forces to carry out swift rescue missions throughout Afghanistan and that all Americans, allies, and friends would be found and returned to safety no matter what it takes.
“Any person who interferes with these operations will be killed,” Willink flatly stated. And then posited that he would order troops to either retake or destroy weapons and equipment left behind rather than letting terrorists get a hold of it.
“Any person utilizing, guarding, or located in close proximity to these weapons or equipment will be killed,” he remarked.
Once Americans and Afghans have been evacuated and weapons have been retrieved or destroyed, Willink announced that the United States would leave Afghanistan. But he also vowed that America would keep an eye on the terrorist-held country. He said that the United States would support opposition to the Taliban with airstrikes and the use of Special Forces units.
The SEAL concluded the viral video by saying that America will continue to do this until the enemy is no longer a threat to America or “the good people of Afghanistan.”
The President has been slammed for his disastrous foreign policy and for his incompetent handling of the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, stranding thousands of Americans and our allies behind enemy lines and leaving them at the mercy of the bloodthirsty Taliban.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was visibly irritated and attempted to provide cover for Biden during a press briefing. She was asked about stranded Americans and ridiculously snapped that it was inaccurate to say they were “stranded,” proclaiming the United States’ commitment to bringing every American who wants to leave home.

Willink has many fans on social media and a political career if he ever wants one:
You were asked in the past if you’d ever run for office, but you said something like “We’re not there yet.” Well…are we there yet?
— Ronnie Allegro (@RonnieAllegro) August 23, 2021
Great speech, but no American politician would ever say that. So, please do us a favor and seriously consider running for office. America needs you again.
— Wdy (@WoodyDVT) August 23, 2021
Reagan and Trump and Eisenhower would say it
— rob sagala (@rob8213) August 23, 2021
If you were, this would not have happened.

I’ve been checking in periodically to see what you thought of this situation. It’s clear we have surrendered. The whole planet is watching us right now.

Extreme ownership, discipline and leadership has been lacking in our country at the highest level. We need that back. Jocko, please run for president.
