Ben Domenech comes up with reason why ‘crying, drooling’ leftists ‘hate babies’ — and it’s not pretty

Ben Domenech says that close-knit family life fundamentally repudiates the agenda of the totalitarian, power-hungry left and the associated “outrage industrial complex.”

Upon becoming a new father, Domenech explained that he realized that “progressives hate babies because they are crying, drooling, pooping, refutations of everything woke leftists believe.”

Leftists, many of whom are childless keyboard woke warriors, hate babies more than anything else, the pro-life co-founder of The Federalist claimed, because “kids are force multipliers for freedom, courage, happiness, virtue, and grit,” which ultimately leads to a patriotic nation.

Kids provide an antidote to the “poisonous lies” of the left, he added, which include critical race theory, identity politics, anti-Americanism, anti-Judeo-Christian values, feminism, victimology, censorship, vulgar popular culture, and radical environmentalism.

While parents have to stay alert to what’s going on in the world, and especially in the schools, prioritizing raising a family also renders the political controversy du jour far less relevant, he implied.

As embedded below in two parts, Domenech’s compelling monologue on the Fox News Channel, which serves as a resounding endorsement of family life, contains a lot of thought-provoking commentary to unpack.

New father Domenech, who has a daughter with wife Meghan McCain (the departing co-host of ABC’s The View) is one of the many pundits auditioning for a gig as the permanent host of Fox News Primetime.

Children not only create families from individuals but they create communities — “turning moms and dads into coaches, Sunday School teachers, neighborhood watch patrols, and meals-on-wheels drivers,” he said.

In contrast, leftism is “an ideology of fear, grievance, and effected helplessness…families…are indifferent and immune to the high-tech loneliness leftism offers its screen-addicted serfs.”

“Families are the ultimate source of meaning and happiness in society. To the modern left, this makes them a rival to their totalitarian politics. Babies, the moment they arrive on the scene, create a forcefield of love and self-sacrifice, and responsibility that leftism cannot penetrate,” Domenech insisted.

“You must be wide awake to the threats our country faces. But part of that is understanding the importance of family life as an objectively better way to spend your time — better for the kids, better for the parents, and better for the country,” he added.

And for the parents, raising kids also is an analog to “exercising their constitutional authority as citizens over the state,” he asserted.

“The industrialized murder of 60 million unborn infants since Roe versus Wade is reason enough to question if when Democrats promise to take care of your children, they mean it like Mary Poppins or Tony Soprano,’ Domenech quipped at the beginning of his editorial.

“But even on issues less fundamental than abortion, the left doesn’t just take their problems out on America’s kids; their problem seems to be that there are American kids at all,” he said.

Kids “create the little platoons that transform individuals into families, families into communities, communities into a society, the society into a patriotic nation,” Domenech declared.
