U.S. Rep. Ronnie Jackson, a former White House physician, said late last week he believes President Joe Biden isn’t going to complete his current presidential term due to “cognitive” issues and called on officials within the administration to conduct a thorough mental exam and make those findings public.
Jackson, a freshman Republican lawmaker from Texas, made his comments in a tweet he posted along with a video clip of Biden taking a reporter by surprise with a bizarre answer he gave in response to a question about Democrats defunding police.
“Our cities are EXPLODING with drugs & violence because of Democrat ‘defund the police’ policies and the GREAT UNITER Joe Biden deflects to talk about ‘sucking blood out of kids,'” Jackson wrote, quoting the president. “He’s completely LOST it! Needs a cognitive exam NOW!”

Biden was asked if there are members of the Democratic Party who have sought to defund police around the country — there are — only to respond, “Are there people in the Republican party who think we’re sucking the blood out of kids?”

That answer, as well as recent public appearances by Biden, have alarmed Jackson, who served as White House physician under Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump.
Last week, Biden’s performance during a little-watched town hall event sponsored by CNN only fed into a belief held by many Republicans that the president no longer retains the mental capacity to adequately perform the duties of his office, which some of them have labeled a major national security issue, including Jackson.
Biden made false assertions about the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines, looked dazed and confused and was forced to pause before answering, discussed helping children “find out whether there’s a man on the moon or whether those aliens are here or not,” and left some audience members baffled when he mentioned obscure unrelated conspiracies.
“I mean, QAnon, the idea that the Democrats or that Biden is hiding people and sucking the blood of children and — no, I’m serious,” he said at one point.
“Something is SERIOUSLY wrong with Biden – and it’s only going to get WORSE!” Jackson tweeted after Biden’s performance. “It’s past the point of embarrassment. He’s lost. He can barely put a coherent sentence together. He MUST have a cognitive exam and release the results!”
Last week during an appearance on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program, Jackson also lamented that the same people, most of them Democrats, who were calling for then-President Donald Trump to have a similar cognitive exam, which he had and he aced, are now silent when it comes to what Jackson feels are Biden’s obvious mental struggles.
“Where are these people?” he asked. “And I’ve been saying that it’s only going to get worse, and guess what? We’re watching that happen right before our eyes right now.
“And I’m at the point right now where, you know, I went from, you know, telling people, we should be concerned about what might potentially be going on, to now saying, hey, what is happening right now?” Jackson told Hannity.
“Where are the people in our academic medicine that were out there calling for President Trump to have a cognitive test? Where are these people? There’s something seriously going on with this man right now,” Jackson continued.
“And you know, I think that he’s either gonna, he’s either gonna resign, they’re going to convince him to resign from office at some point in the near future for medical issues, or they’re going to have to use the 25th Amendment to get rid of this man right now,” the Texas Republican predicted.
