‘I want my daddy!’ Dash-cam video captures cops rescuing 6-year-old girl from clutches of kidnapper

The dramatic rescue of a terrified 6-year-old girl kidnapped by a lowlife suspect was captured on camera Friday in Kentucky.

The incident follows another recent incident where a man was captured on camera trying to kidnap a young girl waiting for her school bus.

The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Robby Wildt, grabbed the girl as she was riding her bike, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department, and officers located his vehicle about 30 minutes later, WDRB reported.

“Let me see your hands! Put your hands in the air! Stay right there!” an officer can be heard telling Wildt as he approached the vehicle.

The suspect was arrested and charged with the kidnapping of a minor. Despite video footage showing the young child in his car, and reportedly admitting his crime, Wildt pleaded not guilty, the Fox affiliate reported. He is being held on a $1 million bond.

As Wildt is seen in the video being taken into custody, a second officer opens the passenger door of his vehicle and the six year old girl is seen crying hysterically. The officer quickly picked her up and told her everything is going to be okay.

“I want my daddy,” she is heard crying out.

The child can be seen in the footage trembling in fear — she appeared to be unharmed physically, and was reunited with her frantic family.

“You just can’t get there fast enough,” Officer Jason Burba told WDRB, on getting to the scene after taking the call. “Seconds feel like hours. Your only thought is getting there as fast as you can.”

A family member was watching the girl as she rode her bike and witnessed her being kidnapped by Wildt, according to the affiliate. This person was able to provide police with a partial license plate number and a description of the car, which was critical to the positive outcome.

Wildt reportedly told police several times he knew what he did was wrong and that he felt bad about his actions, claiming he was driving the child back to the location where he grabbed her.

The story comes weeks after a brave 11-year-old girl in Pensacola, Fla., was seen on video fighting off a man armed with a knife, who was attempting to abduct her while she waited for her school bus.

Much like what occurred in Kentucky, a swarm of officers responded and launched a massive manhunt, successfully tracking down the suspect, Jared Paul Stanga. He was charged with the attempted kidnapping of a child under 13 and aggravated assault and battery.
