Ex-White House doctor and 13 GOP reps. send Biden a letter urging him to take mental test

Former White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson is calling for President Joe Biden to submit to a cognitive test to prove he is mentally sound after calling Biden’s conduct with world leaders in Europe this week “embarrassing”.

Jackson is now a freshman Texas congressman and submitted a formal letter requesting a test of Biden’s mental acuity with 13 of his GOP colleagues expressing their “concern” with the mental state of the leader of the free world.

The letter, addressed to Biden, his physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor and Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci, petitions Biden to take the test because “The American people deserve to have absolute confidence in their president. They deserve to know that he or she can perform the duties demanded of the office, and they deserve to have full transparency on the mental state of their highest elected leader.”

It goes on to argue that “the American people don’t have that confidence in President Biden.”

While citing the apparent decline in Biden’s cognitive state over the last 18 months, the representatives point to specific, questionable instances like the time Biden could not remember the name of his Defense Secretary, confusing Air Force One with Air Force Two, and forgetting the first line of the Declaration of Independence.

Jackson discussed the letter further with Fox News Channel host, Sean Hannity. Jackson maintains that Biden is not in the physical or cognitive shape required for the office of commander-in-chief.

He has seen the demands of the job firsthand and acknowledged it is difficult, but there is no excuse for Biden’s behavior, arguing that it does not inspire confidence and “it’s sending the wrong message to our adversaries.”

Biden’s critics have long voiced concerns that there is someone else pulling the strings behind the scenes. Neither he nor his team has done anything to dispel these rumors.

Jackson has faced controversies of his own in recent years. An Inspector General report released in March found he participated in ‘inappropriate conduct’ involving alcohol and ‘disparaged’ and ‘belittled’ his underlings. He was also unsuccessful in his 2018 bid for Secretary of Veterans Affairs.

The doctor, however, received accolades from officials on all sides of the aisle after serving as White House physician for both the Obama and Trump administrations.

Jackson has been transparent about former President Trump’s health in the past. He admitted the then-president could live much longer if he had a healthier diet, but he also publicly shared the results of Trump’s cognition test.

The letter demands Biden follow Trump’s lead. Trump was pushed by opponents and the media to take a cognitive test and when he finally took the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, he “excelled”.

Trump described the test as “very easy” with the first 30 questions being the easiest while the last five were memory questions and a bit tougher.

The White House confirmed receipt of the letter but did not say much else. In May, the White House confirmed that Biden would have his annual check-up at some point this year and be transparent about the results.

A spokesman told Fox News they would eventually release those results to the public.
