With FBI Director Christopher Wray having confirmed last week that cartel activity from Mexico is “spilling over” into the U.S., Lara Trump is confident that families who live along the border may have no other option but to “arm up and get ready.”

Speaking on Fox News’ “Justice w/Judge Jeanine” Saturday evening, Trump, who’s the wife of former President Donald Trump’s middle son, Eric, made the bold declaration when asked how she feels about the crisis unfolding across the southern border.

“This is horrifying stuff. It must be so insulting to the folks that actually work on the southern border, to our Border Patrol agents, to our ICE agents, to the people whose jobs it has been for so long to deal with this,” she said.

“It’s like they’re being made a mockery of by our very own president and vice president,” Trump added. “Shame on them. It is absolutely disgusting and disgraceful to see.”

President Joe Biden has drastically curtailed the enforcement powers of immigration agents and officials, thus triggering a free-for-all across the border.

“And I don’t know what you tell the people that live at the southern border. I guess they better arm up and get guns and be ready. And maybe they’re going to have to start taking matters into their own hands,” Trump continued.

“It should never happen. These people should never make this dangerous journey here. It’s bad for Americans. It’s bad for the migrants. It is bad all around.”

Part of the problem is that the person designated by Biden to resolve the crisis, Vice President Kamala Harris, appears to be in over her head. She’s claimed the border is just fine, but she’s refused to travel to the border to take a look for herself.

“What I find incredible is that the argument that they’re making that the border is closed … if they actually go to the border, the press will follow them, and they’ll find out that the border’s wide open,” Pirro noted during the discussion.

According to Trump, this is by design.

“It is the reason — the exact reason — that they won’t go. They have just said ‘well, the border’s closed,’ as though that is enough to satisfy Americans, like that is enough to satisfy the people that actually live on the southern border and are dealing with this situation every single day. It is insulting, it is embarrassing,” she said.

“This is a woman who thinks she can cackle her way out of a tough question. It is absolutely ridiculous. She’s clearly in over her head.”

Harris faced fierce criticism last week when she burst into laughter while being pressed about the border crisis.

“She had one job assigned to her — to address the crisis at the southern border. Not only has she not addressed it, it has gotten significantly worse. Crossings at our southern border are up 674 percent this year,” Trump continued.

“This is a woman that needs to get down to the southern border and address this problem. Otherwise, it is going to be a complete and total disaster for the future of America.”

In fact, it may already be. Wray, the FBI director, admitted during a House Judiciary Committee last Thursday that “there’s no question that the cartel activity on the other side of the border is spilling over in all sorts of ways.”

Watch:

While he was speaking specifically about human/sex trafficking, any cartel activity has the potential to trigger violence against U.S. citizens.

Recently, cartel members in Mexico “kidnapped several members of an elite police force in the state of Guanajuato, tortured them to obtain names and addresses of fellow officers” and then began “hunting down and killing police at their homes, on their days off, in front of their families,” according to the Associated Press via station WGO.

Though this level of violence has not thus far arrived in the states, border families are on edge and have begun taking precautions.

In a Fox News interview last month, one border rancher said she’d taught her two teenage daughters how to use firearms because she’d felt there was no other option left.

“It’s a scary talk to have to have with your kids, but we’re really faced with no choice down here right now,” rancher Stephanie Crisp-Canales said.

She added that it’s become a frequent occurrence for “bail-outs” to occur on her property. A bail-out, she explained, is when illegals are driven into the U.S. and then “bail out” of the vehicle once they arrive here.

“A U.S. citizen will secure a vehicle, usually illegally, they will come south, and they will pick up as many illegals in that vehicle as they can because that person, which is known as the coyote, they’re being paid per person. So as many people as they can pack in, they do,” Crisp-Canales explained.

“And when they come north, our law enforcement will inevitably try to pull them over, and they will do everything they can to evade being captured, so they will go off-roads through ranch land, and they go through our fences, our gates, destroy property. They crash, and when they come to a stop, everybody in the vehicle bails, and that’s why it’s called out a bail-out.”

And she’s apparently encountered many of them on her property, all thanks to the Biden administration’s stubborn refusal to secure the border.
