Longtime gun rights activist and former National Rifle Association commentator Colion Noir has warned that even if Democrats fail to retake the Senate next month, the Second Amendment could still sustain serious attacks from a Biden-Harris administration.

Over the past year both Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden and vice-presidential nominee Kamala Harris have repeatedly signaled their interest in shredding some of America’s gun laws.

Asked last year by CNN whether he’d “come for” people’s guns, Biden admitted straight-up, “Bingo, you’re right if you have an assault weapon.”

Asked last year on “The Tonight Show” whether she supports gun buybacks of so-called “assault weapons,” Harris said, “I do believe we need to do buybacks, and I’ll tell you why. They’re weapons of war with no place on the streets of a civil society.”

During a Democrat presidential primary that same year, she added, “I will give the United States Congress 100 days to get their act together and have the courage to pass reasonable gun safety laws, and if they fail to do it, then I will take executive action.”

Is implementing these draconian measures by executive fiat possible, though?

“Absolutely,” it’s possible, Noir said Friday on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

“The idea with the executive action that Kamala Harris is referring to, they could get creative with it from the standpoint of saying these particular guns need to live under the NFA Act, which is an act that essentially causes you to register certain firearms and pay a tax on them,” he explained.

“And if you can’t do that, you’ll just have to sell them back to the government at a fraction of the cost, and then that’s how they’ll go about doing it in that manner. And I think a lot of people aren’t understanding that. They think that if they can’t get it through Congress, they can’t find other means to restrict your rights. But they truly can.”

This is in fact exactly what Biden plans to do.

Available for review below, his plan calls for regulating the “possession of existing assault weapons under the National Firearms Act.”

The plan defends this proposed measure by suggesting assault weapons are frequently used in crimes because their owners aren’t forced to register them.

However, the data shows that handguns “were used in 19 times as many murders than rifles were in 2016,” as reported by The Daily Signal.

Continuing his remarks, Noir warned that the American people, particularly gun owners, need to become more aware of the politics surrounding firearms.

“The biggest problem that I’ve had in my time of being a gun advocate is how little the general public knows about politics regarding firearms,” he said.

“[T]here are a ton of people who’ve gone out and bought a ton of guns and don’t realize [that] overnight they could literally become felons based on whatever laws that they try to pass under this particular administration if they get into office.”

Granted, he wasn’t trying to blame the public.

The way that the real culprits — anti-Second Amendment Activists in the Democrat Party and the media — have kept “the public largely ignorant about firearm politics,” Noir explained, is by silencing “voices like mine.”

“The only time they actually shine a light on it is when it’s something negative that they can utilize to push whatever agenda they’re trying.”

This is in fact true of every issue that goes against left-wing orthodoxy.

Responding to what Noir had said about their “agenda,” host Tucker Carlson asked, “If they’re telling you you’re not allowed to defend yourself, that should raise real suspicions about their agenda, shouldn’t it?”

“Absolutely,” Noir responded.

“But you have to understand, the whole point is control. The overall goal is control, and the most precious thing we have in this world is our life. So the person who can control that is essentially in control,” he added.

“So a population of people that have firearms that can protect their lives adequately without having to rely on the government isn’t under the thumb or control of the government. So if they can take that from you and force you to depend on them, then they understand they have control at that point — and that is their ultimate goal.”

Concluding the discussion, Carlson noted that there’s a damn good reason “the first two amendments of the Constitution are freedom of speech and religion, and the Second Amendment, the right to defend yourself. They thought this through.”

Indeed, though it’s still unclear whether all the safeguards that the Founding Fathers installed in America’s system of government the system will be enough to withstand the war against America, its government and its freedoms that is being waged by the increasingly radical Democrat Party.
