Jake Tapper urges Fox News to ‘put country over profits’ and report Biden elected ‘fair and square’

With the 2020 election being called for Joe Biden Friday morning immediately after the Democrat overtook President Trump’s strong lead in the state on the third day of counting after the election, the media is circling the wagons to shut down any talk of potential voter fraud.

CNN, the one network likely most responsible for Trump’s struggles to be reelected — legal battles yet to be determined — was leading the charge, and anchor Jake Tapper was especially feeling his oats Friday as he tried to pressure Fox News to go along.

Fox News is already taking serious fire from the right for its election day coverage, to include a surprisingly quick decision to call the race in Arizona, and the network had better not allow Tapper to lead them further astray.

“This is not just a matter of good manners, this is not just a matter of grace, this is a matter of life and death,” an overly dramatic Tapper said, before citing the arrest of two men who were reportedly planning an attack on the Pennsylvania Convention Center, which is where ballots are being counted.

Tapper blamed this on “the nonsense, I assume, repeated by Republicans on Fox.”

(Odd how Tapper and his corrupt media cohorts weren’t as emotional about a Florida man allegedly threatening to kill Gov. Ron DeSantis, both of Florida’s GOP senators and Trump supporters.)

Turning to address Fox News directly, the sanctimonious talking head appealed to the network’s “obligation to country.”

“I don’t normally talk about any competing network,” he said. “But the Murdochs and the people at Fox, have an obligation to put their country above their profits. It is very important that people make it very clear that this election, there is no credible evidence that we have seen of widespread fraud. By all accounts, Joe Biden is on the precipice of becoming the next president, fair and square. And people who have the privilege of sitting in seats like we’re sitting in now have the obligation to convey that to their viewers.”

So there you have it, Jake Tapper has declared that the election was “fair and square,” so enough of this talk about improprieties — besides, Twitter’s Orwellian censors will have none of it anyway.

Tapper got little ahead of himself in fantasizing about President Trump being dragged from the White House.

Taking a solemn tone, despite being an active participant in campaigning against the president, Tapper further propagated an ongoing media creation that Trump will not concede and may even violently resist being removed from office.

“Let’s be honest, because a concession is not necessary under the U.S. Constitution,” he said.

“It’s not necessary,” Tapper said. “Whether or not Donald Trump acts like an adult if Joe Biden becomes the next president, Joe Biden will become the next president and Donald Trump will be, if it comes down to it, physically escorted from the building if it comes down to it, if he just refuses to acknowledge reality.”

The CNN anchor goes on to say Secret Service agents are increasing their presence around Biden, to include “air protection above him,” noting that this “underlines the seriousness of this moment.”

The implied message being what, that it’s not out of the question that Trump may order an air strike against the former vice president?

Such irresponsible rhetoric is a staple at the network, and helps explain why so many easily manipulated low information Americans vilify President Trump — and why the election played out as it did.

Tapper concluded by calling on Republican leaders to “start preparing President Trump for the bad news” that he has probably been defeated, while rebuking them for “putting out mealy-mouthed statements this morning about election integrity, acting as if this is some sort of both sides story, when it isn’t.”
