What’s worse? Demeaning someone with mean words or telling blatant lies about someone and then using those same lies to hurt that person?

To House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff, it appears saying mean words is worse …

Speaking Thursday morning on MSNBC, the notorious Russian collusion delusion conspiracy theorist expressed exasperation over remarks President Donald Trump had made about him earlier in the week first on Fox News and then later at a North Carolina rally.

Listen to Schiff’s complaints below:

On Tuesday, the president called into Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” to talk about Schiff’s reflexive decision earlier in the week to dismiss the bombshell allegations surrounding Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden’s youngest son, Hunter.

“I saw Shifty Schiff get up yesterday and say this is Russia. He’s a sick man. He is so sick. We went through two and a half years of that, plus. This guy, he ought to be put away, or he ought to be, you know, something should happen with him,” Trump said.

He reiterated this complaint at a rally in North Carolina the following day.

Speaking first about the Democrats who’ve stood in the way of his agenda, he said, “We’re standing sort of alone against all of these people. I mean, I saw Adam Schiff, this guy, the watermelon head. I say, no, he’s like a watermelon head.”

He then turned his attention to the Hunter situation.

“But he said the other day about Biden with the laptop from hell — we call it the laptop — he said, and he goes up before the mic, this is Adam Shifty Schiff: ‘This was caused by Russia, Russia. Russia caused this. They created this disinformation,'” Trump said.

He added, “He should be, honestly, that guy should be locked up.”

While those were definitely mean words, they were inspired by Schiff’s continual lies about virtually every single political matter in the United States, including the information about Hunter contained in emails published by the New York Post.

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe has himself confirmed that the emails aren’t part of some “Russian disinformation” operation.

But does truth matter to Schiff? To be fair, he posited his theory about the emails before Ratcliffe’s announcement. However, he has yet to backtrack and issue a correction about that, let alone about the Russian collusion delusion hoax and conspiracy theory.

In fact, instead of backtracking, he used his opportunity on MSNBC this Thursday to tell even more lies and spread even more bullschiff.

“[Y]ou know, the childhood kind of insults are one thing. It’s just demeaning to the office of the presidency. What was more concerning at that rally and at others is the president saying that the chairman of the intelligence committee should be locked up, leading a chant of ‘lock him up,'” Schiff complained.

“At one point this week he said that something should happen to Adam Schiff. There is no disguising the threatening nature of those words. And we have seen the president’s words incite violence and we have seen terrorist plots, for example the kidnapping plot against the governor of Michigan, a result of the climate that he is creating.”

Fact-check: FALSE.

The evidence hints at the kidnapping plot against Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer having been perpetrated by anarchists who loathe the president.

Also, all the violence perpetrated by Antifa and Black Lives Matter extremists certainly hasn’t been inspired by the president. Some would argue they’ve been inspired — and funded — by the Democrats

But again, does the truth matter to Schiff?

“And so, you know, we have to take these things seriously until there is a tragedy, we don’t want to wait for that to happen. And it has to be condemned by people on either side of the aisle as being dangerous and destabilizing and unpresidential in any way,” he continued on MSNBC, concluding his remarks.

Should the president be calling for Schiff to be locked up? Probably not. Will he actually take any action against Schiff? No.

As evidence, one only need to look at how the president treated failed 2016 Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton. Despite repeatedly having called for her to be “locked up,” he never went through with it after being elected to office.

The same can’t be seen with Schiff. Not only has he spouted lies that Tucker Carlson has argued are “dangerous to the country for real,” but he’s acted on them, first via the collusion delusion narrative, and second via the Ukraine impeachment.

Both narratives were based on the theory of Trump being some sort of bad guy, and both narratives were eventually debunked, but not without first causing undue, unnecessary strain on the president and his administration.
