Radio host Michael Savage (real name: Michael Alan Weiner) was eviscerated on Twitter for mocking conservative icon Rush Limbaugh, who revealed that he is dying from Stage 4 cancer.

Savage snarked on Twitter:  “Limbaugh’s crying about his cancer on air! Worst 15 minutes in radio history! Spilled a large coffee all over counter and floor. I PROMISE MY AUDIENCE THIS- I WILL NOT DRAG YOU DOWN WITH ME! Best wishes RUSH, but stop and leave the stage with dignity.”

Basically, Savage was suggesting that Limbaugh should go off somewhere now and die quietly instead of sharing his journey with his millions of loyal radio listeners.

Limbaugh stunned his fans yesterday by saying he can no longer deny that he’s “under a death sentence” because his Stage 4 lung cancer is spreading after being “dormant” for a little while.

Limbaugh first announced his diagnosis in February and has since sought treatment. However, he admits that his cancer is progressing and will end his life sooner rather than later.

“It’s tough to realize that the days where I do not think I’m under a death sentence are over,” Rush said. “We all know that we’re going to die at some point, but when you have a terminal disease diagnosis that has a time frame to it, then that puts a different psychological and even physical awareness to it.”

Limbaugh added: “It is cancer. It eventually outsmarts pretty much everything you throw at it. From the moment you get the diagnosis, there’s a part of you every day [that thinks], OK, that’s it. Life is over, you just don’t know when. So, during the period of time after the diagnosis, you do what you can to prolong life, do what you can to prolong a happy life. You measure a happy life against whatever medication it takes.”

Limbaugh said his treatments are now aimed at limiting the spread of his terminal cancer.

Rush pointed out that despite feeling exhausted, he finds solace speaking to his audience on the days that he’s able to work.

“I feel very blessed to be here speaking with you,” Limbaugh said. “Some days are harder than others. I do get very, very tired now. But I am extremely grateful to be able to come here to the studio and to maintain as much normalcy as possible. I wake up every day and thank God that I did. I go to bed every night praying I’m gonna wake up.”

Michael Savage was steamrolled on Twitter for scolding Limbaugh for sharing his cancer journey — something his longtime fans want him to do as long as he is able to.

Former NBC News star Megyn Kelly tweeted at Savage: “I think I speak for, oh, pretty much everyone when I say STFU you absolute douchebag.”

“I don’t even like Rush and you are a piece of s*it.”

Bo Snerdley, Limbaugh’s longtime producer, simply said: “There is nothing I could say that would describe the abject disappointment I have in this individual.”

Media mogul Dan Bongino tweeted: “Go f*ck yourself *sshole.”

As BizPac Review reported, Bongino was recently diagnosed with lymphatic cancer. Bongino said he’s optimistic about his chances for recovery and thanked his supporters for their prayers and well-wishes.

Predictably, unhinged leftists gloated over Bongino’s illness and wished him a painful death.

Flashback: Limbaugh got teary-eyed when he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom at the State of the Union address in February.

The medal is the nation’s highest civilian honor.
