President Donald Trump stated bluntly during an event in Scranton, Pennsylvania on Thursday that the Democrat Party wants to rob their dissidents of their livelihoods, turn their families against them and indoctrinate their children.

They want to cancel you. Totally cancel you. Take your job, turn your family against you for speaking your mind, while they indoctrinate your children with twisted, twisted, worldviews that nobody ever thought possible,” he said.

The remarks were part of an hour-long speech.

Watch a three-minute clip from the speech below:

Part of what he was driving at is that Democrats have, in their zeal to achieve their brand of so-called “justice,” become authoritarian, to the point that they now see nothing wrong with depriving dissidents of their constitutional rights.

A perfect example of this played out last year, when a veteran Democrat member of the House threatened a conservative teen prodigy for the crime of offending her.

That prodigy was CJ Pearson, and his alleged crime was mocking Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nydia Velázquez.

Look:

“[Y]ou’re right to be afraid of us. But you should learn my name,” she wrote to the kid.

A couple of months later, Rep. Frederica Wilson upped the ante by candidly stating that she believes anyone caught “online making fun of members of Congress … should be prosecuted.”

Listen:

This power-hungry attitude has been displayed countless times, with Democrats going so far that they even threatened the Supreme Court by saying they would restructure the high court unless it starts ruling in favor of Democrat interests.

Who does that? People who are drunk on their own power and see nothing wrong with not condemning violence, as an example, so long as it’s violence against their enemies.

Trump’s remarks were also a reference to the growing trend of morality policing, which denotes a twisted form of “justice” in which certain activities are allowed but other activities are forbidden based on the “judge’s” ideological views.

And so, as an example, left-wing extremists are allowed to riot, vandalize and harass, but genuinely peaceful lockdown protesters aren’t permitted to demonstrate, and homeowners like Mark and Patricia McCloskey aren’t allowed to defend their home.

Or better yet, it’s perfectly OK for the Obama administration to commit multiple abuses as it spies on a presidential candidate and even more abuses as it investigates and railroads former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn — but it’s it’s a horrifically evil sin for Flynn to tell an alleged lie while being investigated by that same administration.

In a blog post back in May, award-winning left-wing journalist Matt Taibbi of Rolling Stone magazine highlighted the Democrat Party’s response to the abuses committed against Flynn and the party’s disdain for lockdown protesters as perfect examples of how the party has tilted toward authoritarianism and morality policing.

“Democrats clearly believe constituents will forgive them for abandoning constitutional principles, so long as the targets of official inquiry are figures like Flynn or Paul Manafort or Trump himself. In the process, they’ve raised a generation of followers whose contempt for civil liberties is now genuine-to-permanent. Blue-staters have gone from dismissing constitutional concerns as Trumpian ruse to sneering at them, in the manner of French aristocrats, as evidence of proletarian mental defect,” he wrote.

“Nowhere has this been more evident than in the response to the Covid-19 crisis, where the almost mandatory take of pundits is that any protest of lockdown measures is troglodyte death wish. The aftereffects of years of Russiagate/Trump coverage are seen everywhere: press outlets reflexively associate complaints of government overreach with Trump, treason, and racism, and conversely radiate a creepily gleeful tone when describing aggressive emergency measures and the problems some ‘dumb’ Americans have had accepting them.”

The president’s remarks also referenced a growing push among the left to indoctrinate children in left-wing thought.

Case in point: Last week a report emerged that officials in one Tennessee school district were demanding parents sign forms agreeing to not watch their children’s virtual classes.

But why would officials issue such a demand? Possibly because of concerns from radicalized, far-left teachers that that parents will overhear them indoctrinate their children in far-left left-wing thought concerning topics such as race.

Left-wing thought such as this:

The content seen above is pure propaganda, yet it’s increasingly being pushed in schools across the country thanks to Democrat Party officials at the local and state level.

But don’t you dare speak out about the propaganda, or about the extremist Black Lives Matter movement, or about unfair rules and laws, because as the president made clear in his remarks Thursday, chances are you will be canceled.
