Left-wing demonstration at White House celebrated by same media attacking lockdown protesters as ‘dangerous’

President Donald Trump has done more to expose the national establishment media as little more than a propaganda wing of the Democratic Party than any before him.

And the more these perfumed, blow-dried, self-absorbed princes of Left-wing agitprop rail against the Trump machine, the more they prove him right.

Case in point: In recent days, ‘mainstream’ media types have dumped on protesters who are demonstrating against their states’ ongoing lockdown orders either because they’ve lost their jobs, lost their businesses, the orders are insane, or a combination of those elements.

But a protest took place in Washington, D.C., earlier this week and the reason you may not have heard much about it is because the very same media that opposes and mocks protesters who are demanding governors return their liberty and their jobs didn’t universally oppose it.

In fact, some outlets praised it. And why? Because a Left-wing nursing organization was behind it.

As Daniel Greenfield at FrontPage Magazine notes:

On Monday, April 21st, members of National Nurses United (NNU), a radical union that advocates for socialized medicine, gathered outside the White House to protest against President Trump.

Video of the protest was carried on Facebook Live by the same dot com monopoly which had banned ‘Reopen’ protests as being harmful. After the rally, protesters clumped together with reporters, and there was no social distancing in sight. Despite that Facebook did not take down the NUN page.

Continuing, Greenfield adds that the protests were praised in the mainstream media. “Nurses protest unsafe conditions in front of White House,” CBS News blared, apparently tone-deaf to the ‘unsafe conditions’ these protesters were creating simply by protesting during a pandemic. Interestingly, CBS News also reported on protests held by the group earlier this month, ostensibly when coronavirus was even more dangerous.

The Washington Post’s headline was even more dramatic: “‘We’re beyond angered!’ Fed-up nurses file lawsuits, plan protest,” the paper reported.

“‘We’re feeling like martyrs’: Nurses hold White House protest over lack of protection,” NBC News blared.

Again, the White House protest was just one of several announced by NNU, “some thinly disguised as ‘vigils’ or concerns over PPE, but ultimately a larger push for a socialized medicine takeover,” Greenfield noted.

You know what would kill a lot more Americans during a pandemic? Socialized medicine. If these nurses think their hospitals are under-prepared, understocked, and under-staffed now, they haven’t seen anything yet. A full-on government-run healthcare system in the United States would be an unmitigated disaster, and the experts have said so.

These media hypocrites are treating protests by Left-wing social justice warriors much differently than they’re treating liberty-minded Americans who have realized they’ve been lied to about a virus that is killing a lot more jobs and businesses than people.

And the hypocrisy extends beyond media coverage to the lockdown mandates themselves, as Greenfield notes:

Police cracked down on the ‘reopen’ protests, arresting an organizer in New Jersey, while the media condemned them, spun conspiracy theories trying to tie them to members of the Trump administration, and falsely accused protesters of causing an increase in coronavirus in Kentucky.

Facebook deleted protest groups in coordination with state governments, labeling the protests, illegal.

Blue state governments, dot com overlords, and the media all warned that protesting in the age of the coronavirus was dangerous and illegal. Even if the protesters were in cars or maintaining social distance.

Meanwhile, “Refuse Fascism Philly,” a seemingly misnamed Marxist group whose members engage in fascism while claiming to oppose it, dumped ‘body bags’ at the entrance of the Trump National Golf Club in Pine Hill, N.J., April 5, with uncritical coverage from the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Did Facebook remove the group’s site, like Mark Zuckerberg recently promised his platform would do? Nope; it’s still online.

Greenfield documented a number of other instances of recent protests held by Refuse Fascism affiliates around the country, all without police interference or critical media coverage.

But show up at the governor’s mansion to protest the loss of your job and your freedom? That’s a no-no to the hypocrites in the establishment media.

“The double standard on anti-Trump and anti-lockdown protests by the media, by Facebook, and by state authorities is evidence of bias, of discrimination, and of selectively censoring political speech,” writes Greenfield.

Exactly right.
