Michael Moore under fire for poo-pooing Biden win, saying South Carolina doesn’t represent US

Left-wing filmmaker Michael Moore derisively downplayed Joe Biden‘s recent primary victory in South Carolina, saying the Southern state “is not representative of the United States.”

Moore — a Bernie Sanders supporter — also dismissed the frenetic flurry of endorsements Biden got Monday from panicked centrist Democrats. Moore said Biden is day-old bread and not the future of the Democratic Party.

Moore argued that the Democratic Party is veering to the far-left, so a moderate like Biden is not going to win the presidency.

“Joe Biden is the center. He’s this year’s Hillary,” Moore told MSNBC. “He’s not going to excite the base to get out there and vote on November 3rd. Seventy-percent of the people voting are women and people of color. That’s 70%.”

Michael Moore also brushed off the narrative that Biden is finally gaining momentum after scoring his first primary victory.

“South Carolina is not representative of the United States. That’s just the facts — absolutely no impact on the November 3rd election,” Moore said. “It is still the same: 70% of those eligible this November are young people, people of color, and women. They’re going to decide the election.”

Moore continued: “So what we have now are three primaries or caucuses that Bernie either won or tied and then Saturday [when Joe won South Carolina]. For people to just get so excited about, ‘Oh, Biden finally had a win, after 32 years running for president [is silly].’”

Michael Moore got dragged on Twitter for his snobby attitude toward South Carolina.

When asked if the last-minute endorsements Biden got Monday from failed presidential candidates Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, and Beto O’Rourke would have an impact on Super Tuesday, Michael Moore said no.

Moore expressed disgust that instead of thinking about how to defeat President Trump, establishment Democrats are trying to crush Bernie. For some reason, Moore is ignorant of the fact that the Democrats are still in primary-election mode.

“They’re thinking about what can stop Bernie Sanders and not Donald Trump,” Moore said. “That’s sad because they’re afraid, voting out of fear. If you’re afraid of Trump now, if that’s what really is behind this. If you vote for a candidate and we take fear into the general election running on fear, we will lose to Trump if we vote on fear. We need vote on strength and our belief systems.”

Michael Moore’s dismissive attitude toward South Carolina echoed the elitist left-wing snobbery of CNN, whose analysts mocked Trump supporters as illiterate, Southern hicks.

In January, Never-Trumper “Republican” Rick Wilson and Wajahat Ali —  a Trump-hating blogger with the New York Times — smeared the 63 million Americans who voted for President Trump as dumb hillbillies by mocking them with a Southern accent.

At the time, “The Five” co-host Greg Gutfeld slammed CNN’s leftist hosts for thinking that they’re better than the millions of Americans who live in the South. Gutfeld said this pompous attitude is emblematic of the Left and their media minions.

“They really do look down their noses on least half of America,” Gutfeld remarked. “It’s no wonder their ratings are in the tank. CNN is in trouble. They need help. No wonder they’re watching us all the time, watching Fox to figure out what we’re doing right.”
