Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro rebuked House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, saying Republicans are not doing enough to defend President Donald Trump from the Democrats’ sham impeachment attacks.
“With all due respect Congressman, you guys don’t fight the way the Democrats fight,” Pirro said. “You had the goods when Obama wasn’t selling what he agreed to sell, and he was defending Russia when they’re taking out the defense system over the Ukraine. It’s frustrating for Americans to watch this.”
Judge Jeanine echoed the sentiments of millions of Americans who are wondering why the Republicans have been pulling punches when Democrats have gone Scorched-Earth in their efforts to remove a duly-elected president who has committed no impeachable offenses.
Pirro added: “I know right now you’re fighting for us. But isn’t it frustrating for you to not be able to work on the opioid crisis, on the USMC, all this stuff?”
Scalise agreed that the Democrats’ rabid impeachment push is frustrating for lawmakers who actually want to get things done for the constituents that voted them into office.
“We had a package of bills that came out of committee unanimously to lower drug prices,” Scalise said. “We would be paying lower drug prices today, but Speaker Pelosi is infatuated with impeachment. Securing our border, making sure our troops have the tools they need — none of that is getting done because they are infatuated with taking out a president when we have an election next year. Let the people of the country decide that.”

Pirro reiterated that President Trump did nothing wrong on his July phone call with Ukraine’s president.
“We have a treaty with Ukraine where we have the right to have our Attorney General Bill Barr discuss with them any information or evidence that involves criminal activity,” Pirro said.
Congressman Scalise agreed. “There was no quid pro quo,” Scalise underscored. “In fact, President Trump was carrying out his duty to make sure they are rooting out corruption in Ukraine.”
Scalises continued: “He was congratulating President Zelensky on a platform of rooting out corruption. Zelensky even thanked President Trump for selling them the Javelin missiles that allows them to stand up to Russia.”
As BizPac Review reported, both the Ukrainian president and Ukraine’s foreign minister have emphatically stated that Trump did not pressure them or make any demands.
While House Republicans are pulling punches in their counter-defensive to protect the leader of their party, a GOP political committee isn’t standing idly by.
Just minutes after the Democrat-led House voted to formalize the procedures of the impeachment inquiry, the Congressional Leadership Fund launched a blistering ad campaign targeting all 29 vulnerable Democrats in red districts that Trump won in 2016.
In a statement, the Congressional Leadership Fund said: “Instead of working to reduce health care costs, create jobs, or restore America’s infrastructure, Democrats are focused on one thing and one thing only: doing everything in their power to remove President Trump from office. It’s time for Democrats to stop the madness and drop their impeachment inquiry.”
