Maxine Waters afraid for her life, accuses Trump of ‘setting some of us up to be killed’

California Democrat Maxine Waters pulled the ultimate victim card on Thursday by declaring President Trump is setting up a scenario to have her killed.

While duly-elected President Trump is fighting for his earned spot in the Oval Office, Waters blasted him for punching back against the onslaught of Dem attacks during a whipped-up impeachment inquiry.

Waters was talking with MSNBC’s Ali Velshi about the Ukraine controversy and Trump’s amplified language amid the melee.

Velshi said it’s one thing for Trump to “go after” the whistleblower, but a slam against Waters should be off-limits.

“Well, whatever,” Waters began. “He shouldn’t be going after anybody. He’s the president of the United States of America, he’s setting some of us up to be killed.”

This is the kind of nonsense that earns the California congresswoman the moniker “Mad Maxine.”

But, she continued and was sure to work in her tired Democrat race-baiting talking points.

“I have death threats constantly,” Waters told MSNBC’s Ali Velshi. “There are a number of people who have been convicted for threatening to kill me. And when he does that, he’s dog-whistling to the white supremacists, the [Ku Klux Klan] KKK, and the dangerous people.”

Waters also capitalized on Trump’s comments about a “civil war-like” scenario, claiming white supremacists are gearing up for it to “fight against this government.”

She did not explain why supposed white supremacists who are supposed Trump supporters would fight against the government Trump currently leads. No matter, she ramped up her unbelievable attack even further.

“Aside from [Trump] making us a target of these white supremacists and those who would kill us in a civil war, some of us will be the first to be killed.” she continued.

And they call Trump’s behavior over-the-top.

Waters said Trump has no business slamming the whistleblower or anybody else before whining about not being able to go to the grocery store by herself, and having to pay for security.

Reminder: This is from a woman who encouraged her followers to confront Trump supporters in public places. “If you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” she said to a crowd of constituents at a rally over the summer.

Waters also claimed on Wednesday that the identity of the whistleblower – who didn’t have a first-hand account of the impeachable offense in his/her complaint, and is a reportedly biased CIA agent, and is at the heart of the current impeachment push by Democrats – should be “protected by law.”

Waters’ distractions and claims come as House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff’s involvement with the so-called whistleblower grows more suspect by the day.

It was revealed that Schiff suspiciously had access to the whistleblower complaint before it was released to the public (after denying he had any contact), he also lied during his opening statement at last week’s intel hearing to implicate Trump.  On Thursday, Schiff tried to alter rules to limit the questioning of a key witness regarding the case against Trump and an alleged quid pro quo.

As the impeachment firestorm continues to muddy, Republicans argue that it becomes more vital for the whistleblower to come forward.

Republican Senator Rand Paul believes it’s imperative the whistleblower come out from hiding.

“Ultimately, if someone’s going to accuse you of something that’s going to bring down a presidency, I think we deserve to know who that person is,” Paul told reporters in Kentucky on Tuesday.

“I think there are reasons to have whistleblower statutes and have anonymity. But if you’re accusing somebody of something with the ramifications of impeachment, I think really the person ought to come forward,” he added.

But, Democrats will use arguments like Waters’ — no matter how hyperbolic it is — to protect the “whistleblower” at all costs.

Meanwhile, folks have thoughts on who it might be:

And conservatives are demanding answers:

As far as “Mad” Maxine Waters? Unfortunately for her, her rhetoric and talking points are nothing new and garnered a collective yawn on social media. But it does make for insane political theater.
