‘I plan to sue into oblivion’: Attorney to take on Antifa thugs following brutal attacks

Black-masked thugs were allowed to run free in the streets of Portland this week, which led to several brutal attacks including one that sent conservative journalist Andy Ngo to the hospital with a possible brain bleed. The Antifa punks were caught on video screaming, cursing, assaulting, and throwing milkshakes at the Asian reporter even as he walked away from the violent group.

Now his lawyer, Harmeet Dhillon, is gearing up for a scorched earth-style legal battle with the “Antifa criminals” she claims she is going to “sue into oblivion.”

Dhillon appeared on Fox News to discuss the beating of her client, insisting that his speech has been affected by the brutal attack, which may warrant neurological tests.

“Well, Andy is struggling, to be frank. I mean a lot of, you know, the speech affect that you see there is much slower than his normal way of talking, and his pace of speaking,” she says. “And so, it’s very troubling for anyone who knows him to see him like that. We’re gonna be sure that he gets some neurological tests and support going forward so that he recovers fully.”

She goes on to explain that the Portland police are seeking the support of the public to identify those involved in the attack so that they can be brought to justice.

When asked if she just plans to sue Antifa, or the city of Portland itself for failing to appropriately defend people from the radical group’s violence, Dhillon said that she would prefer to “reserve judgement on who in government deserves to be sued.” She claims that the police and the city government are “pointing fingers at each other over this situation.”

Harmeet also makes a good point in saying that Portland is no stranger to these kinds of violent riots that end in bloodshed. If this was the first time Antifa had brutalized people in the streets, some grace could be given to both the city and the police for their wholly inadequate response. However, knowing that unrest like this has happened before and still being unprepared to protect people from violence is unacceptable incompetence at best. There is no excuse for allowing masked menaces to roam your streets unhindered and unbothered by the legal consequences of their actions. Improperly staffing officers for an event that you know can get out of hand is outright negligence.

It’s a good thing there are attorneys like Dhillon who are willing to take on Antifa without fear. If only the Portland PD had even half her courage.
