FLOTUS fans celebrate Trump’s Melania declaration: ‘We have our own Jackie O’

During an extended Friday interview on “Fox & Friends,” President Donald Trump spent part of his time on the air praising his wife, Melania.

Trump likened the current first lady to arguably history’s most popular first lady, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, who was married to the late John F. Kennedy until his death on November 22, 1963.

“We have our own Jackie O, it’s called Melania … we’ll call it Melania T,” said the president.

Trump also praised his wife’s fashion choices, an aspect of “Jackie O” that is celebrated by Americans to this day.

“When I go speak in big crowds, we have tremendous crowds and so many people are holding up banners,” Trump said. He continued by saying that those banners often have supportive messages for Melania like “we love high heels.”

The “we love high heels” line could be a reference to the first lady almost always sporting a pair of high heels, something that has sometimes earned her unfair criticism from the leftist media.

Trump’s comments on his wife came in the midst of a conversation about newly announced plans to repaint Air Force One.

Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade told the president that the style of Air Force One had been “iconic for so long,” to which Trump replied, “I like the concept of red, white and blue. It’ll look much better, actually. The baby blue doesn’t fit with us.”

In an ABC interview with George Stephanopoulos, the president revealed that the redesign of Air Force One will not be done until 2024 and the changes are not for his own benefit. He said the new colors with be for “other presidents.”

Comparing Melania Trump to Jackie Kennedy is a not-at-all ridiculous comparison. The two are not only popular with the American people, but both are icons in the world of fashion. Melania Trump often homages classic looks from history and American film through her looks. She even honored Jackie Kennedy at her husband’s inauguration where she wore a powder blue dress and long gloves.

During a recent visit to the United Kingdom, Melania Trump once again stunned the world with her outfit choices and looked every bit as breathtaking as Jackie Kennedy once did.

The first lady sported a striking white skirt suit with a navy blue collar and belt by Dolce & Gabbana, as well as navy blue Manolo Blahnik stilettos. Mrs. Trump topped her look with a custom Hervé Pierre double face wool crepe hat with had a navy blue band to match the rest of her look.

The look was noted by many to be an homage to the looks of Audrey Hepburn in the 1964 classic film “My Fair Lady.”
