Turning Point USA leader reportedly stalked, says almost victim of a hit-and-run on Seattle campus

On Monday a deranged left-wing activist reportedly harassed, stalked and tried to run over a female South Seattle College student over her decidedly conservative political views.

Student Katie Daviscourt, the chair of the Washington state college’s Turning Point USA chapter, told local station KTTH that she and a fellow member had been hosting an on-campus table discussion to recruit new members when the unhinged activist began hassling them.

“He started vandalizing our table and trying to take the posters off,” she said. “And the second he takes the ‘Big Government Sucks’ sign, I let him know, ‘Sir, that is actually my own personal property, and stealing the “Big Government Sucks” sign or taking it down can get you arrested.’ And that seemed to trigger him like no end because he ends up taking the sign and he runs out the building.”

Listen to the full interview below:

Daviscourt reportedly chased after him and managed to retrieve the sign, though it’s unclear exactly how. Following her return to the table, the unnamed man showed up again three more times before finally giving up and seemingly leaving for good. But after the event ended and the young conservative set off for her car, she reportedly ran into him again in the parking lot.

“All of a sudden this car comes flying at me and I’m going, ‘Oh wow, what is going on, that car almost hit me,’ and as he’s turning the corner, he is in his vehicle staring me down,” she said.

She recounted the same story to local station KIRO.

“He’s staring me down. And that is when I realize this man is either trying to kill me or … he’s either going to hit me as a pedestrian or he’s going to hit me when I back out of my vehicle,” she said.

“So I tried to get behind the car and snap a photo of his license plate. And at that point, I start calling 911 because I know I have a big issue on my hands.”

According to Daviscourt, the man wound up crashing into another vehicle.

“I feel really bad because he ended up running into this young woman’s vehicle,” she said to KTTH. “She was taking a right turn and then hit and run. He fled the scene and that’s the last I’ve heard anything. I [haven’t] heard anything from police. Nothing.”

Surveillance footage from the altercation can be seen in the KIRO video below:

The unnamed activist reportedly returned to the school the next day but was given “emergency suspension papers and escorted” off the property as per the allegations against him.

According to KIRO, as of Monday local authorities were still investigating the altercation.

“Katie Daviscourt said she would like to see the man arrested and charged,” the station reported. “Late Monday, a Seattle police detective said they do have a license plate. They aren’t yet sure who was actually driving the vehicle. He said they are investigating this as a hate crime and a hit-and-run.”

KTTH confirmed the same thing: “Much of the incident was caught on surveillance cameras and the Seattle Police Department confirmed Monday that it was an open case. They have a license plate of the car and a clear image that the victim took of the suspect.”

As for South Seattle College, spokesperson Ty Swenson confirmed with The Daily Caller that the unnamed activist is a student and has been suspended “while an investigation is underway.”

“South Seattle College summarily suspended a student on April 15 due to allegations of harassment and driving recklessly in an attempt to intimidate a fellow student. The suspension means the student is not allowed to return to campus or attend class while an investigation is underway,” Swenson said.

“This action was taken in accordance with the college’s guidelines for student misconduct. We continue to offer support to the impacted student and assist the Seattle Police Department in their investigation. Utilizing FERPA guidelines, we will not be releasing student names.”

Conservative students and non-students alike have and continue to face constant harassment and sometimes even assault all across the country, but especially so on college campuses.

Conservatives affiliated with Turning Point USA, a nonprofit that promotes conservative principles on college and university campuses, have in particular frequently been targeted.

Two months ago another left-wing activist assaulted a Turning Point USA recruit at the University of California, Berkeley. The thug was eventually apprehended and pleaded not guilty.

Last year a mob of left-wing activists harassed Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk and communications director Candace Owens as they ate breakfast at a Philadelphia coffee shop.

And just last week a left-wing activist at the University of Missouri – Kansas City assaulted a conservative speaker by spraying him with some sort of “odorous substance.”

Yesterday, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk came to the defense of Candace Owens when she was again harassed as she prepared to give a speech at UPenn.

While fairly frequent — last month a Florida bus driver ripped a “Make America Great Again” hat off a child’s head in rage, and at the start of this month an anti-Trump zealot in California harassed and berated an elderly Starbucks supporter at a Starbucks — such acts of harassment and/or assault rarely receive coverage by the demonstrably left-wing mainstream media.

As of this week, for instance, the media continue to talk about President Donald Trump’s recent criticism of anti-Semitic Muslim congresswoman Ilhan Omar. According to them, his criticism of her amounts to “incitement to violence.” As for the actual violence being perpetrated almost daily against conservatives, members of the media have had very little to say.
