Maxine Waters tells NAACP award crowd that Mueller report is ‘3,000 to 4,000 Pages.’ It’s not even close.

Rep. Maxine Waters continued to promote her Russia collusion theory at the NAACP Image Awards where she couldn’t even get her facts straight about Robert Mueller’s report.

The California Democrat accepted an award in Hollywood Saturday and quickly made it about her favorite subject, calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump while spewing lies that his campaign colluded with Russia.

“So I haven’t forgotten about ’45.’ He’s appointed an attorney general who thinks he can hold the special council’s report from the American people,” she said at the 50th NAACP Image Awards held at the Dolby Theatre.”I still think he needs to be impeached.”

Actually Attorney General William Barr is not keeping the report “from the American people,” as Waters declared, but in a letter to the chairmen of the House and Senate judiciary committees, Barr indicated that the Justice Department will release the special counsel’s report on the Russia investigation to Congress by “mid-April, if not sooner.”

But Waters, who became the chair of the House Committee on Financial Services after the 2018 midterm elections, dismissed the findings of Mueller’s report before it has even been seen by the public and despite Barr’s summary letter which concluded that the investigation did not find any evidence that Trump’s campaign “conspired or coordinated” with Russia in the 2016 election.

“And so, no matter what this report is thus far, we have seen enough. We have seen right before our very eyes the obstruction of justice in so many ways. It’s not only the firing of Comey, but it is the fact that he sat on the airplane and he wrote a memorandum about the meeting that took place at Trump Towers (sic) where they had organized this meeting to talk about how they can undermine Hillary Clinton,” she said.

“No matter what has been revealed thus far, and there’s only four pages of what appears to be a report of about, maybe somewhere between 3,000, 4,000 pages,” she added, clearly overstating that Mueller’s report is, according to Barr, actually 400 pages.

Waters also fired a shot at the “ultra-right wing white supremacists” and “haters who have threatened to kill me and my family and my staff.”

“I’ve gotten four of them convicted. If you come for me, I’m coming for you,” she said to the crowd’s delight.

Waters was given the the Chairman’s Award at the NAACP Image Awards, an honor that is “bestowed in recognition of individuals who demonstrate exemplary public service and use their distinct platforms to create agents of change.”

Previous award winners include Forest Whitaker, Eric Holder, and Jussie Smollett, who was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work on the hit series “Empire” before Chicago authorities indicted him for staging a hate crime hoax and then Chicago prosecutors cleared him of all wrongdoing.

Waters had no trouble giving herself a little more recognition as well during her acceptance speech.

“After a long career journey, tonight I stand before you as the first woman and the first African-American to chair the powerful U.S. House Financial Services Committee,” she told the audience. “And it is indeed an honor to hold the chairwoman’s gavel and yes, I got the gavel, and I’m not afraid to use it.”
