‘Don’t be a fool’: Swalwell plays right into New Zealand killer’s hand when he jumps on tragedy to make it political

Socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wasn’t the only congressional Democrat to make an ass of himself/herself after a group of white supremacists opened fire Thursday across two mosques in New Zealand and killed at least 49 Muslims.

Congressman Eric Swalwell, a far-left zealot who’s called for the confiscation of all firearms and jokingly suggested he’d drop a nuclear bomb on resisters, rushed to his keyboard after the attack to condemn “right-wing” violence, never mind the lack of information regarding the killers’ beliefs.

Some would argue that it’s this exact same sort of rush to judgment and rush to condemn conservatism — which is what he meant by “right-wing” — that’s spurring so much violence across the world, including here in the states, where left-wing activists have been acting out violently since President Donald Trump’s election three years ago.

In a manifesto reportedly published by one of the killers prior to the shooting Friday, the unnamed shooter appeared to be “all over the map” ideologically speaking, as one Twitter user pointed out:

“Don’t be a fool,” one Twitter user wrote to the congressional Democrat.

But Swalwell is indeed a fool, as are the countless left-wing media outlets that are using Friday’s events to fear-monger even further about conservatives, aka “deplorables.”

In his manifesto the shooter made it clear that he aimed to “incite violence, retaliation and further divide” between the political factions within the Western world that are warring — namely the liberal faction and the conservative faction.

His plan appears to be working. Since the shooting the media have been cherry-picking quotes from the manifesto that seemingly sound conservative in nature — such as quotes in opposition to illegal immigration — and presenting only them to the public. Never mind those quotes that reek of leftism.

For instance, in the manifesto the shooter wrote, “CONSERVATISM IS DEAD, THANK GOD.”

This quote hasn’t been shared by anyone in the media.

It’s this sort of biased reporting that gins up tension on both sides of the political aisle: among liberals who feel a growing sense of seemingly justified anger and fear toward conservatives, and among conservatives who feel a growing sense of seemingly justified resentment toward liberals.

Liberals naturally don’t want to live in constant fear, just as conservatives don’t want to be unfairly linked to evil acts in which they played no part. But the media don’t care. Nor do Democrats like Swalwell. And sadly, their lack of concern is having a demonstrable effect.

Observe the public’s reaction to the shooting and note the increased calls for censoring conservatives, expelling conservatives from Congress, etc.:

Sighs.

Conservative commentator and comedian Steven Crowder does an excellent job of describing what is happening, and how the left and their media cohorts are playing into it.

It’s worth a watch below:
