Dan Bongino warns of a disturbing ‘poison pill’ hidden within Dem’s spending bill

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino, a Fox News contributor, drew attention to the Democrats’ government spending bill by highlighting a glaring “poison pill” designed to help child traffickers and human smugglers.

Bongino pointed to a section that grants de facto immunity for anyone who is remotely near an “unaccompanied alien child.”

“None of the funds provided by this act…may be used by the Secretary of Homeland Security to place in detention, remove, refer for a decision whether to initiate removal proceedings, or initiate removal proceedings against a sponsor, potential sponsor, or member of a household of a sponsor or potential sponsor of an unaccompanied alien child.”

Children Can Be Used as Human Shields

Basically, this means that an MS-13 gang member, for example, would be exempt from detention or deportation if he claims that he’s either a “sponsor” or a “potential sponsor” of an unaccompanied alien child.

There does not seem to be a provision requiring proof of your claims.

Poison Pill Would Promote Child Trafficking

Numerous commentators pointed out that all this does is promote human smuggling and child trafficking, because the provision ensures that that children can be used as human shields to protect unscrupulous smugglers from detention.

In other words, if you claim that you’re a “sponsor” or a “potential sponsor” of an unaccompanied child, Border Patrol has no choice but to let you loose.

“This bill is tantamount to an illegal immigration “stimulus.”

DHS Agent: Wall Would Curb Child Sex Trafficking

As BizPac Review reported, former DHS agent Tim Ballard says if Democrats really wanted to stop child sex trafficking, they would want a border wall as much as Republicans do.

Ballard worked for 12 years as a special agent for Homeland Security Investigations in the Child Crimes/Child Trafficking unit.

He says little girls are trafficked across the porous US-Mexico border every day, where they are smuggled into the United States and exploited as sex slaves.

A 13-year-old girl from Central America – let’s call her “Liliana” – was kidnapped from her village, then trafficked into the US at a location where there is no wall or barrier.

From there, she was taken to New York City, where she was raped by American men 30 to 40 times a day.

The wall would have likely saved her. The wall is a law enforcement operation.”

Unaccompanied Minors Are Often Raped and Abused

Countless young girls, boys, and women are raped every day as they make the dangerous trek to the US border. Each year, between 14,000 and about 17,500 people are trafficked into the United States.

Tim Ballard says a border wall would dramatically reduce this sickening epidemic of pedophilia. So why have Democrats inserted a provision to make these horrific crimes easier to commit?

“The wall would undoubtedly be a significant barrier to entrance into the black market of child sex trafficking, thus decreasing kidnappers and traffickers’ incentives in the first place.”
