President Trump made a final pitch for his border wall two hours before the US government shut down after Congress failed to pass an interim budget that included funding for the wall.
“Our great country must have border security,” Trump said in the Twitter video. “We don’t want people coming in that aren’t supposed to be here. We want people to come here through a legal process.”
The president continued: “Drugs are pouring in, human trafficking, so many different problems, including MS13 gangs [are sneaking in through our unsecured border.] We don’t want them in the United States.”

While the liberal media are hyping the shutdown to attack Trump, keep in mind that federal workers will still receive their holiday paychecks, according to the Office of Management and Budget.
As BizPac Review reported, most Democrats — including Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton — all vehemently opposed illegal immigration and supported enhanced border security (including a wall) until recently.

That all changed when President Trump took office, when the left started embracing illegal immigration in a bid to increase the Democrat voting bloc.
Democrats are complaining that Trump’s billion border wall is “too expensive” while blithely ignoring that illegal immigration costs US taxpayers $113 billion every year.
Meanwhile, US allies like Israel (which has a border wall) are urging the United States to build a wall to protect its borders.
David Rubin, the former mayor of Shiloh, Israel, noted that illegal immigration plunged to ZERO in 2017 after Israel raised the height of its wall to make it harder to scale.
Rubin — who was born and raised in the United States — has been living in Israel for the past 27 years. He blasted the over-the-top whines from leftists who slam Trump’s wall as racist.
“It’s an obscene comparison I’ve heard too many times from the left,” said Rubin. “Some of the Israeli left were complaining and even accusing the Israeli government of racism, but now, nobody is complaining. Everybody is happy that we don’t have illegal immigration.”
