Andrew Napolitano pushed back on some of Rudy Giuliani’s recent remarks about President Donald Trump speaking to special counsel, Robert Mueller.
The Fox News legal analyst weighed in on Giuliani’s latest comments on the ongoing Russia probe, including telling Fox News’ Chris Wallace on Sunday that Mueller will get to question the president “over my dead body.”
“Much of what Rudy says on television is aimed at the public, trying to establish an atmosphere in which, should the president be indicted, or should the House of Representatives vote articles of impeachment it would be perceived as intolerable amongst the public,” Napolitano told Fox News host Bill Hemmer on Monday.
“I think Rudy has done a great job doing that. But I think what he said to Chris Wallace yesterday was not aimed at the public, it was aimed to Bob Mueller. It was basically, ‘You can negotiate hardball, we can negotiate hardball as well,’” he added.
“Rudy knows that one way or another Mueller gets to question the president,” Napolitano said.
He went on to note that the president and his team have a choice to make.
“Is it going to be one-on-one with Rudy sitting there whispering answers in the president’s ear or is it going to before a grand jury without Rudy there and where the president has no control?” he asked. “They have to pick one or the other.”
Napolitano has been sounding the alarm of negativity in recent days, telling Fox News’ Shep Smith that federal prosecutors “have evidence” that Trump “committed a felony by ordering and paying [his former lawyer] Michael Cohen to break the law.”
Has Judge Napolitano lost his mind. Just saw him on Shep Smith segment. He is so wrong on some of the Cohen issues and distorting others. I am really confused. What am I missing? Dershowitz is saying the exact opposite!

I like Judge Napolitano. He’s wrong on this. https://t.co/Sn8uJt5M0t

He continued his Trump-bashing as he attempted to fact-check every argument in an appearance on “Fox & Friends.”
Mediate is very excited about this, as it’s writers are about so much Trump hate out there. Of course, the problem is that this has to be one of the most asinine & misleading “legal” diatribes ever. Indeed, in every respect. https://t.co/oDxiHtkQNj

Judge Napolitano has been a joke for a long time. He does considerable damage to @FoxNews @foxandfriends https://t.co/QV1jlopq8n

Twitter users agreed that Napolitano’s recent attempts at “analysis” have been way off.
Judge Napolitano has been turned to the Darkside. #JudgeNapolitano Does anyone else agree with me??

I absolutely agree. I noticed He was popular then suddenly completely stopped appearing on FoxNews. Then suddenly he’s back, reprogrammed, no longer a Patriot. He also stopped giving actual evidence for his legal opinions, as seen here. Sad.

He’s gone way off the deep end. Can’t stand to watch that fool.
