As the desperate search continues for a missing Colorado mother, police have released surveillance video showing her just before her disappearance.
The 29-year-old was last seen entering a Safeway store in Woodland Park at 12:27 p.m. on Thanksgiving, according to the video released by investigators Monday, Fox News reported.
Kelsey Berreth was seen entering the store on Nov. 22 carrying her 1-year-old daughter in a car seat. She secured a shopping cart and then, heading into the store, went out of view of the camera – and the world. Berreth has been missing for nearly three weeks since that day.
“Investigators have released that information [the surveillance video] as part of this Facebook post in hopes that it may lead to additional tips in this case,” police said.
Berreth’s fiancé, Patrick Frazee, reportedly picked up their daughter when the two met up later that day, according to police, but there were no further details about the meeting. Ten days after anyone had heard from or seen her, Berreth, a Colorado flight instructor, was reported missing by her mother.
Police continue to investigate the perplexing clues in Berreth’s disappearance. Her personal belongings are still at her Woodland Park home but her purse is not, and her two cars are still accounted for.
Three days after she went missing on Thanksgiving, she allegedly texted her boss at Doss Aviation saying she would not be coming to work the following week. A text message was also sent to Frazee, though police have not revealed what was said.
Berreth’s phone was pinged nearly 700 miles away from her home a few days later from a location in Goodling, Idaho.
“Kelsey we just want you home. Call us if you can. Someone knows where she’s at,” her mother, Cheryl Berreth said at a news conference on Monday, Fox News reported. “She’s not the kind that runs off. This is completely out of character.”
Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young was asked if Berreth’s fiancé is a suspect in her disappearance.
Frazee is the “father of Kelsey’s daughter and we’re going to leave it at that,” he said, adding, “This is a missing persons case.”
Frazee refused to answer questions by reporters when he was seen leaving an attorney’s office in Colorado Springs on Tuesday carrying his daughter, ABC News reported.
