Though President Donald Trump and firebrand conservative commentator Candace Owens see eye to eye on many things, there is one issue that does in fact divide them – who truly deserves to be designated “the dumbest man on television.”
According to the president, the one and only Don Lemon of CNN deserves this honor.
“Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!” the president tweeted Friday, referencing an interview from earlier in the week.

During that interview, former Cleveland Cavaliers basketball star turned political commentator wannabe Lebron James accused the president of using sports to divide Americans. Instead of disputing that absurd accusation, Lemon accepted it hook, line and sinker.
Hint to Lemon: When interviewees make outrageous remarks like that, real journalists are supposed to ask for evidence.
Now fast forward to Saturday morning, when Owens took to Twitter to refute the president’s accusation.
“I disagree, vehemently with what @realDonaldTrump said last night. @donlemon is NOT the dumbest man on television,” the proud Trump supporter wrote, no doubt shocking many.
Read the rest of the tweet below to see why that shock quickly transformed into howling laughter:
Joe has worked hard for that title and I REFUSE to let the the president strip him of that status. #MAGA

She had a point. While Lemon does indeed often act like a complete idiot, some say he can’t compare to MSNBC host Joe Scarborough.
He continues to identify himself as a true conservative, despite the fact that he left the Republican Party because of Trump — a man whom some argue has done more to advance conservatism in the past two years than every other Republican president before him.
Scarborough’s also a hypocrite. During his tenure as a GOP congressman in the late 1990s, he reportedly drafted a bill to end America’s membership in the corrupt United Nations. Yet whenever the Trump administration blasts the U.N. over its continue corruption, he’s among the first to cry foul.
Joe Scarborough truly is an idiot https://t.co/qiKLGNq71N
