President Trump blasted billionaire mega-donors the Koch brothers after they announced they will not help a Republican win a key Senate race in North Dakota, citing his failure to oppose Trump’s proposed trade tariffs.
With the midterm elections around the corner, Trump unleashed on Charles and David Koch for their obstructionism, which could help Democrats win control of Congress in November. The Koch brothers are libertarian billionaire industrialists who have long donated to the GOP.
“The globalist Koch Brothers, who have become a total joke in real Republican circles, are against Strong Borders and Powerful Trade,” Trump tweeted. “I never sought their support because I don’t need their money or bad ideas. They love my Tax & Regulation Cuts, Judicial picks & more. I made them richer.”
Trump added: “Their network is highly overrated, I have beaten them at every turn. They want to protect their companies outside the U.S. from being taxed, I’m for America First & the American Worker – a puppet for no one. Two nice guys with bad ideas. Make America Great Again!
Fox News host Laura Ingraham torched the Koch brothers for opposing President Trump’s “America First” agenda because they want cheap labor for their factories.
“The Koch network and others talk a good game about unity, embracing change, and seizing opportunities,” Ingraham said. “But when a president comes along who’s actually embracing a new path..on behalf of the American people…the Kochs and the globalists just have their blinders on.”
Ingraham slammed the Koch brothers for hopping on the liberal bandwagon to obstruct President Trump and help Democrats (who champion open borders and illegal immigration).
“The left has a new enemy. It is Trump,” Ingraham said. “And they are resisting him at every turn. Sadly, the Kochs are too often joining in their ranks.”
The Koch brothers’ opposition to Trump is nothing new. In 2016, they refused to endorse Donald Trump and suggested Hillary Clinton would make a better president. Look how well that turned out for them.
