William Maillis is not an average 11-year-old. He graduated from St. Petersburg College with an associate degree in Florida Saturday and has been called a “genius.”

He wants to be an astrophysicist and scientifically prove the existence of God when he grows up, according to Spectrum News 9.

“Everybody has gifts from God. I was gifted with knowledge and science and history,” Maillis said, according to ABC Action News.

Maillis, the son of an Orthodox priest, has always been a fast learner and graduated high school at age 9, according to the Tampa Bay Times. He quoted a Bible verse in Greek at his high school commencement.

Maillis plans to continue his college career at the University of South Florida. “I want to prove to the world that God does exist through science,” Maillis said.

By the time most of his peers graduate high school, he would like to already have a doctorate degree, according to St. Petersburg College.
