Concealed carry wins, again. What headlines didn’t mention about how thug who punched restaurant worker was stopped

Last week a south side Milwaukee alderman released shocking video footage that showed a ruthless thug savagely decking a female restaurant employee in the face.

Surveillance footage from a local George Webb restaurant specifically showed the thug, a black man dressed in all white, strolling into the Milwaukee restaurant’s kitchen and aiming a full-body punch at a female employee’s head.

Afterward another female employee pulled out a concealed firearm and aimed it at the thug, spurring the coward to flee.

The footage was released to the public Friday by Milwaukee Alderman Bob Donovan, who also serves as the chair of the Public Safety and Health Committee.

“It is sickening to see this unsuspecting worker assaulted so brutally by this individual,” he said in a statement. “It was an unprovoked attack and I am asking anyone with information to please contact MPD immediately at 414-935-7360 so we can get him off the street and behind bars where he belongs.”

According to the alderman, the victim “quit her job shortly after the incident.”

“And can you really blame her for quitting? This is just sickening and I am tired of this crap happening in my district and in too many other neighborhoods across Milwaukee,” he said.

He had a point, especially considering what might have transpired had the victim’s co-worker not been packing heat courtesy her concealed carry license. Note that it was only seven years ago that Wisconsin became a right-to-carry state thanks to Gov. Scott Walker.

“It’s so frustrating to me as an elected official that the other waitress felt it so important that she arm herself to come and work in my aldermanic district,” the alderman added. “Yet, I thank God she was armed. Otherwise, I shudder to think what may have happened to those two women.”

The victim now reportedly thousands of dollars in medical bills because she lacks insurance: “This woman is struggling to just eek out a living and has this idiot attack her for no reason,” the alderman said.

“I am told the attacker has an extensive criminal record — surprise, surprise– another glaring indictment of our criminal justice system!” he continued. “A person capable of this brutality is a threat to each and every one of us and needs to be behind bars. Wake up Milwaukee, wake up!”

All great points, of course, but keep in mind that crime has been on the rise in Milwaukee and other major cities because of their Democrat leaders, as noted by President Donald Trump during a 2016 campaign speech in Milwaukee about law and order:

“Let us look at the situation right here in Milwaukee, a city run by Democrats for decade after decade. Last year, killings in this city increased by 69 percent, plus another 634 victims of non-fatal shootings. 18-29-year-olds accounted for nearly half of the homicide victims,” he said.

” The poverty rate here is nearly double the national average. Almost 4 in 10 African-American men in Milwaukee between the ages of 25-54 do not have a job. Nearly four in 10 single mother households are living in poverty. 55 public schools in this city have been rated as failing to meet expectations, despite ten thousand dollars in funding per-pupil. There is only a 60% graduation rate, and it’s one of the worst public school systems in the country.”

And all thanks to Democrats …
