Louie Gohmert exposes the reason Peter Strzok was able to lie to Congress so easily

Earlier this week still-employed FBI agent Peter Strzok testified on Capitol Hill about the questionable anti-Trump text messages he had exchanged with another FBI employee during the height of the presidential election two years ago.

There was just one problem: Nearly everything Strzok said during the closed-door House Judiciary Committee hearing was a lie, or so some have claimed, including Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert, who witnessed the hearing from beginning to end.

“I can’t say what all Strzok said, but during the hours I was watching, you’d see him say things that he knew he was lying, he knew you knew he was lying and yet he was so cool about the way he would say it,” Gohmert revealed during an appearance Friday evening on Fox News’ “Hannity” alongside fellow congressman Rep.Ron DeSantis.

“I was sitting there going golly, he is so good about lying. Then I realize, you know what? He’s been doing that forever to his wife. He has got this lying with the proper emotion down pat. All those times he probably lied to his wife about Lisa Page.”

Page was the FBI attorney with whom Strzok had an affair, and with whom he exchanged damning text messages in which he promised to “stop” Trump from being elected.

“This guy is really good about what he does,” Gohmert added.

It’s just too bad what Strzok “does” has little to do with upholding the law and everything to do with trying to usurp it for political purposes.

Strzok, who oversaw the bungled investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and later assisted special counsel Robert Mueller with his dubious investigation into President Donald Trump, is a virulently anti-Trump zealot who made it clear in numerous text messages to Page that he hated the then-GOP presidential nominee and his supporters.

Much like Clinton, who views Trump supporters as “deplorables,” Strzok sees them as “ignorant hillbillies” who know nothing.

Except that the president’s proud supporters — many of them minorities — know enough not to use a company phone to exchange messages with a mistress.

They also know that lying to Congress is never a wise thing to do …
