Note to April Ryan: Laura Ingraham’s not down with the ‘earrings and Vaseline’ threats

Fox News host Laura Ingraham savagely excoriated the entire liberal mainstream media Friday evening for their incessant attacks on White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

According to the media, Sanders lacks credibility. According to Ingraham, the media ought to look in the mirror sometime.

“These people are going to lecture us about credibility? The press?” she said. “For the most part, the White House press pool has become a pack of lupine — look it up — commentators and they’re activists masquerading as journalists.”

This week in particular the White House press pool repeatedly harangued Sanders over perceived discrepancies in her statements regarding a payment issued by President Donald Trump’s personal attorney to porn star Stormy Daniels two years ago.

Though the president has made it clear he didn’t know about the payment when it occurred, and though New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, a recent new addition to Trump’s legal team, reiterated this very point in an interview on Fox News Channel’s “The Sean Hannity Show” this week, the media appear to believe otherwise.

And because Sanders refuses to spout the media’s own lies, they think she’s the liar. The media’s logic makes no sense, but when does it ever?

Ingraham then focused her attention on White House reporter and CNN commentator April Ryan, who a day earlier had issued indirect threats aimed at Sanders.

“That you don’t know me stuff begins fist fights. She needs to know what she is saying. I am not the one,” Ryan wrote in a disturbing tweet to former Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, referencing an earlier conversation between her and Sanders.

Listen to the original conversation below:

“You know what ‘gutter’ is? This Twitter exchange,” Ingraham said Friday. “Could you imagine if someone on this network started taking off their earrings … and said, ‘Take off your pretty ring and let’s have a street fight with our political opponents?’ It would be instant Armageddon!”

But because a member of the liberal mainstream media said it — and because Ryan directed her rage at the much-maligned Trump administration — of course nobody seems to care.

“[T]hese journalists feel protected and free to threaten and slander members of the Trump Administration with abandon. Their shared hatred of president and those he represents unites them in what they do and say. And they think they can do it with impunity,” Ingraham concluded.

Yes, they do. The bad news is that this foul attitude among the media isn’t apt to change anytime soon. The good news is that the worse the media act, the less the American people trust them!
