President Trump unleashed on “fake news” reports claiming that White House chief of staff John Kelly called him an “idiot.”
NBC News reported Monday that Kelly has called the president an “idiot” several times, citing “eight current and former White House officials.”
“The officials said Kelly portrays himself to Trump administration aides as the lone bulwark against catastrophe, curbing the erratic urges of a president who has a questionable grasp on policy issues and the functions of government. He has referred to Trump as ‘an idiot’ multiple times to underscore his point, according to four officials who say they’ve witnessed the comments,” NBC News reported.
Trump slammed the “totally unhinged” news outlets on Monday.
The Fake News is going crazy making up false stories and using only unnamed sources (who don’t exist). They are totally unhinged, and the great success of this Administration is making them do and say things that even they can’t believe they are saying. Truly bad people!

Kelly, himself, denied the allegations and called them “total BS.”
“I spend more time with the president than anyone else and we have an incredibly candid and strong relationship,” said Kelly in a statement, according to NBC News. “He always knows where I stand and he and I both know this story is total BS. I am committed to the president, his agenda, and our country. This is another pathetic attempt to smear people close to President Trump and distract from the administration’s many successes.”
Statement from John Kelly on reports he called @realDonaldTrump an “idiot”. But Kelly has a problem…there is a faction in the White House out to get him. pic.twitter.com/FCcWFjuGfj

NBC cited three White House spokespeople who said they didn’t believe the allegations against Kelly, “adding that none of them has ever heard him do that or otherwise use that word.”
Despite the clarifications, the report was circulated and CNN at one point reported Kelly even used the word “unhinged.”
According to CNN:
Multiple sources have told CNN that Trump is increasingly frustrated with Kelly, and a senior administration official said Monday that the feeling goes both ways.
Kelly told senior national security officials in what appeared to be a “moment of frustration” in the last month that he believed the President was becoming “unhinged,” according to the senior administration official.
Kelly referred to Trump as “unhinged” during a meeting with the Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joseph Dunford and senior National Security Council officials, the senior administration official added.
The president tweeted again Monday, noting that the his administration is “accomplishing the unthinkable” and that the “Fake News is going ‘bonkers!'”
The White House is running very smoothly despite phony Witch Hunts etc. There is great Energy and unending Stamina, both necessary to get things done. We are accomplishing the unthinkable and setting positive records while doing so! Fake News is going “bonkers!”

Fox News’ John Roberts continued on a long thread on his Twitter account, dropping some ideas about the real story: who is actually leaking the “fake news” to the press.
It’s not coming from the left. It’s coming from the right.
— John Roberts (@johnrobertsFox) April 30, 2018
It’s actually people INSIDE the White House who are trying to oust Kelly because they haven’t been getting their way on certain things…..
— John Roberts (@johnrobertsFox) April 30, 2018
This is actually a faction trying to discredit John Kelly, not President Trump. And it’s coming from INSIDE the White House
— John Roberts (@johnrobertsFox) April 30, 2018
Twitter users seemed just as disgusted as the president.
President Trump is on the verge of ending the Korean War, and NBC decides to break a story about John Kelly allegedly calling President Trump an “idiot.”
Give me a break. The left will do everything they can to take attention away from President Trump’s accomplishments.

Geez, I just tuned into CNN for a couple of minutes. They seem absolutely desperate President Trump.Odd guests spouting malicious gossip. Talking very fast.Much of it doesn’t even make sense. All the behavioral signs show desperation. Your (America) successes have them rattled

What does it say that this “smear” was perpetrated by someone close to the President? If it is not true then that is an even more damning statement of what is happening inside the Oval Office! #thetruthisworsethanthelie

And therein lies the REAL story about this…
— John Roberts (@johnrobertsFox) April 30, 2018
And Roberts is on point. ..the problem is that the “idiot” statement (if even true…I question everything here lately) coming from an “insider” is the real issue. Again. ..I question it was ever said. Too many false sources lately. Way too many. It hurts real journalism.

So we find out today that the Iran deal was a total joke and Iran just moved their sites, making Obama look like an idiot. Then, all of the sudden, the fake media comes out saying John Kelly has called Trump stupid and said women are more emotional than men.
Textbook diversion.

Nice try fake news but we’re on to you…. The diversion doesn’t work anymore….
