White House press secretary Sarah Sanders smacked down CNN pundit Jim Acosta after he tried to hijack another press briefing.
Acosta was upset that Sanders left the briefing, which was fairly short, without calling on him.
As Sanders was leaving the press room, Acosta shouted out: “Sarah, can I ask a question? Sarah, that’s the third briefing you have not taken a question from CNN!”
Acosta continued his whine-fest on Twitter, lamenting: “Third press briefing in a row that @PressSec did not take a question from CNN. #courage”

In response, Sanders retorted: “Courage isn’t taking ‘a question from CNN,’ Jim. Courage is combat veterans Sgt. Peck and Staff Sgt. Dwyer – the two heroes at the briefing. #ItsNotAboutYou”

Sanders was referencing John Peck and Liam Dwyer, the retired Marine Corps sergeants who sat near the podium in their wheelchairs as Sanders discussed President Trump’s efforts to drain the swamp at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Sgt. Peck has one leg, while Sgt. Dwyer has no legs, both having lost limbs in combat, fighting for the United States. CNN’s Jim Acosta apparently thought promoting his anti-Trump rhetoric was more important than spotlighting the need to improve medical treatment for America’s wounded warriors.
The Department of Veterans Affairs has been plagued with shameful scandals for years, including the rampant mistreatment of wounded military veterans. Many of these epic lapses occurred under the Obama administration, but President Trump has vowed to straighten up the mess.

Sarah Sander’s proud dad, former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, gave props to his daughter after she shut Acosta down, writing: “Today, Jim Acosta from CNN feels the burn!”

This is not the first time (or even the 100th time) that Acosta has tried to hijack a White House press briefing in his desperate bid to become the day’s viral YouTube sensation.
In June 2017, Acosta played the “You-Ignored-Me” card when he accused Sanders of not calling on him even though there were many other media outlets at the press briefing besides CNN.
In December, Sanders shut Acosta down when he repeatedly interrupted her as she was trying to reply to his question. Like other mainstream media personalities, Acosta has dramatically raised his profile by attacking President Trump and his aides.
