R & B star Drake drops $1 million donation for ‘God’s plan,’ including fat check for Miami fire department

Drake’s latest music video is the “feel-good” story Americans need right now.

Singer-rapper Aubrey Drake Graham, known professionally as Drake, set the internet ablaze on Friday with the release of the music video for his song “God’s Plan,” in which he was filmed giving away nearly $1 million to various people and groups around Miami.

The opening of the video states: “The budget for this video was $996,631.90. We gave it all away. Don’t tell the label.”

The video then depicts the recording artist engaging in multiple acts of altruism, including giving out bundles of cash to random families and buying a store full of shoppers $50,000 in groceries.

At one point, Drake signed a large $20,000 check to the Miami Fire Department.

In another moment, the singer gave a $50,000 check to a college student. He also gave $50,000 to a women’s shelter.

On Instagram, the Canadian artist described the charitable acts behind the video as “the most important thing I have ever done in my career.”

The reaction to the “God’s Plan” music video was overwhelmingly positive, with many viewers praising Drake’s altruism.
