Mrs. Trump, who’s a mother of five, was at her home on East 54th Street, Manhattan when the incident occurred, the New York Post reported.
According to NBC News, the letter containing the white powder was addressed to Donald Trump, Jr.
President Trump’s daughter-in-law, along with two other people at the residence, were taken to New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center as a safety precaution.
There was no indication of injuries, and authorities have so far not reported that the substance was hazardous or a biological agent.
Outrage over the scary incident is already brewing:

My thoughts and prayers are with @DonaldJTrumpJr and his wife @MrsVanessaTrump. It’s a shame that we have sunken so low in political discourse in this country that someone would steep to such lows. #MAGA
