Does a shadow of uncertainty hang over the future of the Supreme Court?
Justice Sonia Soyomayor was visited by paramedics after she suffered “symptoms of low blood sugar” on Friday, a Supreme Court spokesperson told CNN.
“Justice Sonia Sotomayor was treated by DC emergency medical service after experiencing symptoms of low blood sugar at her Northwest Washington apartment this morning,” NPR also reported.
According to the spokesperson, the 63-year-old Obama appointee was fine after receiving treatment and soon returned to work.
This morning, Sotomayor was present at the high court’s weekly closed-door conference, where she joined the other justices in discussing whether to take up the latest version of President Trump’s travel ban. Ultimately, they announced that they would hear the case.
Sotomayor has struggled with type 1 diabetes since being diagnosed with the disease at age eight.
