Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren gave liberals a case of indigestion on Thanksgiving Day when she posted a photo on social media ridiculing former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick being awarded “Citizen of the Year” by GQ magazine.

The image depicted the radical, left-wing, cop-hating player kneeling in a World War II landing craft as U.S. soldiers stormed ashore at Normandy Beach on D-Day. The caption read, “Food for thought.”

The photo-shopped image prompted a call to action on the left to defend Kaepernick, who is revered by those eager to denigrate America.
Lahren has been critical of NFL players disrespecting the national anthem by refusing to stand, a fad begun by Kaepernick, who earned a king’s ransom throwing a football but refused to “show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”
The protests took on added significance when President Donald Trump intervened on Twitter to condemn the disrespect.
“I would like to ask these players, ‘What exactly are you kneeling for and why have you chosen the flag and the anthem to do it?’” Lahren said earlier this year. “I bet if we asked a hundred players, we would get a hundred different answers.”
The hyperventilating came quickly from the crowd which STILL believes Michael Brown, who died while attacking a police officer, was unjustly killed — Eric Holder’s DOJ said otherwise. These are the same folks who blame the police for Trayvon Martin’s death.

Here’s a sampling of other responses from both sides of the “debate.”

If this vicious little party clown would like to read a book about what black soldiers did in WWII and how the U.S. Army mistreated them, I can recommend several. https://t.co/Ag3VCLnHJl

This does not qualify as thoughtful. It is blatant exploitation of the sacrifices of our women and men in uniform to push your racist bullshit and silence peaceful protest by Black Americans.
Do not use military folks like me as pawns in your hateful fucking game. https://t.co/xO3KLPLnj5

It’s thanksgiving, give us a break with your hate mongering bullshit and go be with loved ones if you have anyone who stands being around you.

Bottom line in my opinion is he chose the wrong platform to protest. I have 6 veterans in my family. He insulted all of them!!!!! I don’t care what or how much he has donated! He went from hero to zero in my eyes when he disrespected our country.

Who knows, Lahren may very well have just succeeded in having Kaepernick named Time’s “Person of the Year” in the ultimate liberal push back:
Here's dessert…@TIME …this man deserves
