Alec Baldwin, SNL should have been slamming Weinstein in shower skit, what they did instead is sick

Alec Baldwin was back on Saturday Night Live, reprising his role as President Donald Trump while endeavoring to put the president on the same level as disgraced sexual predator Harvey Weinstein.

In a sketch that downplayed Weinstein’s despicable behavior, which include multiple allegations of rape, Baldwin implied Trump is guilty of the same things.

The Baldwin-played Trump character is taking a shower with Paul Manafort — played by Alex Moffat — who was indicted last week by special counsel Robert Mueller.

“I brought you in the shower to make sure you weren’t wearing a wire, Paul,” Baldwin said. “That’s why we’re going to do this ‘Gone Girl’ style.”

“Mr. President, I would never do that,” the Manafort character replied.

“That’s what she said… a whole bunch of shes said that,” Baldwin answered. “Speaking of which, what an idiot that Harvey Weinstein is. He could’ve gotten away with all of it if he’d gotten himself elected president.”

SNL was hosted by Larry David, who also mined the Weinstein sexual abuse scandal for comedic gold in the opening monologue… while delivering a highly controversial Holocaust joke.

As for Weinstein, turns out Baldwin was one of those who knew “for decades” about the Hollywood producer’s behavior.

In an interview with PBS NewsHour, the actor said the “rumor” that Weinstein raped actress Rose McGowan was common knowledge.

But Baldwin, who acknowledged Thursday that he has “bullied women” and treated them “in a very sexist way,” subtly shifted some of the blame to the victim by asking whether justice was delayed because McGowan took a settlement.

All of which prompted the actress to fire back on social media: “I delayed justice @alecbaldwin? It was my justice. Stupid.”
