NY Gov. lies about ‘lone wolf’ Manhattan attack as ISIS connection comes to light

Now that the constant stream of Islamic terror attacks has gotten too big for the left to ignore, Democrats are trying to sell their narrative with “lone wolf” buzzword.

The goal is to convince the public that every new act of terrorism is a “lone wolf” incident completely unrelated to Islam or established terror networks like ISIS.

Hence New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s “lone wolf” description of Tuesday’s truck attack by Uzbek-born Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov–made with complete confidence before in the tragedy’s immediate aftermath before Cuomo could even have had all the facts.

Cuomo even contradicts himself, saying “The new terrorist tactic, which they’ve called for publicly, are these lone wolves who commit an act of terror.”

The “they” he refers to is ISIS and other international terrorist organization. Of course, if “lone wolves” are ISIS’s new tactic, and they’re the ones spurring the attacks, then the “lone wolves” aren’t so lone after all, are they?

Governor Cuomo’s remarks echo the position of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. The prominent Democrat has likewise called the terror attack–which killed eight people and left 12 injured–a “lone wolf case.” Mayor de Blasio’s spin is unsurprisingly being repeated by the mainstream media.

Do you expect anything less from the same media that goes to extremes to avoid reporting the terrorist shouted “Allahu Akbar?”

But the narrative of left-wing politicians like Cuomo and de Blasio is already falling apart when confronted by the facts. A note by Saipov from the scene of the crime shows he pledged allegiance to ISIS.

Dr. Sebastian Gorka, an intelligence analyst who briefly worked as deputy assistant to President Trump, explained on Hannity why the “lone wolf” concept doesn’t hold up to the reality of America’s terror situation.

As Gorka notes, none of the terrorist attacks that have taken place on US soil since September 11, 2001 have been by truly independent actors.

Whether it was the Tamerlan Tsarnaev of the Boston Marathon bombing traveling to Russia to meet with Islamic jihadists or Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab of 2009’s failed Christmas day bombing attempt returning a determined terrorist from his trip to Yemen, these supposed “lone wolves” have had human interaction with terrorists prior to carrying out their attacks.

Before we can successfully make war with Islamic terrorism, the left will have to cease its war on reality.
