Don’t say you weren’t asked.
A source told Politico that the Congressional Black Caucus members will decline an invitation they received last week to meet with President Donald Trump at the White House.

The group first met with the president in March, and the source claims that since then he has done nothing to advance their concerns.
Members were reportedly put off by the invitation, coming from White House aide Omarosa Manigault, formerly a reality TV personality.

“No one wants to be a co-star on the reality show,” said one senior Democratic aide.

The manner in which Manigault signed her name on the invitation even rankled the members.
“As requested by the president, we would like to schedule a follow-up meeting with the entire membership of the Congressional Black Caucus to discuss issues pertinent to your members,” the invitation said.
It was signed, “the Honorable Omarosa Manigault,” a title members said she hasn’t earned.
No official reply to the invitation is expected until at least Wednesday, after the group conducts its weekly meeting. However, sources claim any such face-to-face with the president is “off the table.”
Members also claim that it’s logistically unwieldy to accomplish anything meaningful when all 49 caucus members gather with Trump and his staff. Such meetings, its members claim, become little more than photo opportunities.
Folks on social media wondered how lawmakers could complain that nothing was being done if they themselves didn’t do their part. It’s just another example of “resistance politics” from the left.

Black caucus states Trump hasn’t done anything to support priorities of the group. How will this change if you don’t meet? Stop blame game!

Great decision – don’t meet with someone who is offering to have a conversation so you can just continue to complain about not being heard

Yeah because the resistance is working so well for them

They’re a waste of his time anyway. This is another perfect example of the establishment politicians doing what they do best. NOTHING!

Some of the best reactions from libs over special election results
Although the invitation was extended to “the entire membership of the Congressional Black Caucus,” there’s nothing to indicate it’s an all-or-none proposition. Louisiana Democrat Cedric Richmond, the caucus chairman, could accept, along with a few select senior members.
