Muslim’s littering in Minneapolis leads to discovery of arsenal, possible terrorist plot by refugees

Not convinced that extreme vetting should be required of refugees from certain Muslim-dominate countries? Ask Minneapolis cops.

The routine arrest last week a of apparent Somali refugees led to an arsenal of weapons and a cache of bomb-making devices.

Last Thursday, a man walking by a parked vehicle in a North Minneapolis neighborhood observed its occupants tossing out food wrappers, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

When the people inside ignored the man’s littering complaints, he began taking down their vehicle’s license number.

That’s when the occupants exited the car and told the man they had weapons inside, in an apparent attempt to frighten him away. The man took them at their word but rather than moving on, he flagged down a police cruiser patrolling the area.

Those inside the vehicle, however, continued to yell at the complaining witness, and resisted the officers’ attempts to control the situation.

So they arrested them, and what they found inside the vehicle was frightening.

The Star-Tribune reported:

Inside, the officers found a hand grenade, handgun, assault rifles and magazines and a large quantity of ammunition, the complaint said. They also found cellphones, computers and electronics equipment, including drone parts.

Bomb squad personnel called to the scene noted that the large amount of ammunition and electronic devices could be used for bomb-making, the complaint said.

This is a repeat offense for Minneapolis resident Abdullah N. Alrifahe, 27. He was convicted in December of carrying a pistol in public without a permit, which is defined as a gross misdemeanor.

Alrifahe and his brother were charged with the same offense this time out. For possession of a hand grenade?

The bigger question, as posed by Pete Hegseth on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” Wednesday, is why aren’t they being deported.

Minneapolis has a large Somalian population, many of whom have been the subject of FBI arrests on terrorist charges in the past. The city has been considered something of a recruiting center for the Islamic State.

Apparently political correctness is more important than the safety of Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges’ constituents, however. Also last week, her office announced that she’ll deliver her State of the City address from a local mosque.

“This is the left doing everything they can to fall over themselves to fawn over a new community,” Hegseth told “Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade.
