In typical fashion, President Trump made a huge splash on social media when he uploaded a new Twitter background photo and paired it with a quote from the day’s big testimony on the hill.
Former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper testified before a Senate committee on Monday where they answered questions about alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential elections.
“Director Clapper reiterated what everybody, including the fake media, already knows there is “no evidence” of collusion w/ Russia and Trump.”

Say what you will but Trump is innovating here, a new form of pinned tweet. https://t.co/PszhWui8su

Agreed. Super-pinning is the new tweetstorming. https://t.co/icDoeDZY1R

The photo doesn’t just highlight the lack of evidence of collusion between the Russians and Trump — it also takes a swing at “fake news” media. After nonstop coverage of liberals shouting “Russia” every chance they got, Trump finally seized his opportunity to fire back.

I truly hope no one tries to normalize repurposing the text of tweets on cover photos. It's not normal, and it's not ok.

Trump’s photo sent a crucial message. He took a quote from two former top officials in the Obama administration and showed millions of people that there wasn’t any evidence of collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.
His actions grabbed the attention of millions, eviscerating the liberal talking point used for months now.

This is actually the one thing he's really good at. Making noise and creating distraction. https://t.co/uXQqlRRj7m
