Talk about flipping the script! MSNBC guest brands anyone who’s not been gov’t dependent an ‘elitist’

Never has a liberal been more clear about how progressives view government than the political editor for The Root, who claims American citizens not dependent on the benevolence of Uncle Sam are elitists.

Appearing on MSNBC, Dr. Jason Johnson insisted that average Americans are eager to crouch down and lick the hand that feeds them, much to the chagrin of Founding Father Samuel Adams.

“You want to talk about elitism right?” he said. “You’re an elite if you don’t have to depend on the government at some point in your life.”

“There are sick people out there,” Johnson added. “There are seniors out there who need federally funded cars to take them to and from place, there are people who have student loans. There is cancer research from the [National Science Foundation] that helps people from the entire country.”

And make no mistake about it, this was directed at President Donald Trump and the Republican lawmaker on Capitol Hill that support him.

“So if you can say you don’t care about the government that must be great. Fine for you, if you are that rich,” he continued. “Maybe the people in the White House feels that way, but regular people — Republicans and Democrats realize how stupid this is.”

Displaying a little elitism of his own, Johnson then pointed to what he hopes to see in the 2018 election.

“I can’t wait for them to make this mistake so they get wiped out in 2018 and we can have some competent Democrats and Republicans running this country,” he concluded.
